It seems now-a-days that i'm always here instead of writing...I know I should write and that its good for my Zen, but i just can't bring myself to...

At the mo, my reason is that: I'm at my mums work and there are too many 10 yearolds to concentrate... Yes my mum's a teacher...hence the fact i'm on the computer in teh library! yay!

It feels like it's been so long since the close of November and the boards have certainly died down since then but I still come here often enough. It's the only writing forum that I like.

I didn't come here much last year, but that was when I could still get on GaiaOnline at school. Now most fun sites are banned through the district filter, but NaNoWriMo isn't (probably because of the.org in the adress or something). My regional forum has come to a stand-still even though we promised each other we'd stay around, but I'll still be here.

Getting bogged down in email is a form of expression. Tell you what I do...I keep one of those little spiral bound notepads in my purse. It's the kind reporters used to take notes. Then, whenever I get an idea or want to remind myself of something I need to add to my story, I can refer back to it. I don't find those electronic gadgets as handy. One bump and the memory is gone.

I've been obsessing over the boards during December, which I designated as my "break" month. Tomorrow, I dive right back into the insanity that is my novel... and my posts quit making sense.

Senioritis -- Four men in a coffeeshop. They write a novel.
Echo Flux -- Peasant girl saves the world with SCIENCE!
(That was NaNo 07. Screnzy?)
Ballroom Blitz -- The kind of highly-meta play that gets written by a student in Tech Theatre.

Very often. Less after this though, I suspect. January will be my break month after writing for two months straight. Urgh. Lol. It was fun, but crazy.

I used to be on the forums ALL the time. Really. My post count would be ridiculously high, and I would look at just about every single threads in the forums here that I frequented to make sure I didn't miss anything before replying--and I did reply.

Now, real life has taken over, and I'm here every few weeks after November if I'm lucky. But I do come here often. It's always a stop in the Internet Express.

I scan the boards about once a week since December, but I'm so busy that I rarely post these days.

So far, 2008 has been heavy into editing for me. I'm really enjoying it, too! I had far too many books pile up that were due to publishers, so I just had to sit down and get to work. I don't know what took me so long to get started because I have always enjoyed the editing and rewriting part of the work.

Three of the books are off to the publishers and another one will go in soon. I have a couple more on the list after that.

And I am writing new stuff, too -- just not as much as usual.

Lately it seems all I've been doing is checking email, writing sites, working, and attempting to finish my essay that's been due for my English 111 class.

I want to write again or even read but I just can't find anytime when I'm not exhausted considering I'm also working on moving out.

I come here nearly every day. But I am not very active in reading or replying. I read more than I reply though. I really don't reply much. So yes I do come here often, I'm just not very active.

Yes. too much, but I just lurk and tend to only post when I can either answer something, but usually I just end up killing threads as no-one bothers replying to me.

I'm here pretty much every day, sometimes more than once, but I don't post very often. I just like to get motivated and inspired by everyone else! :-)

I read too much, post occasionally, and have not touched my nano with a ten-foot pole since December. Perhaps I should touch it, to burn it...

This is my first time back since probably early december. I'm currently on my 2nd draft of the original. It's fun coming across the bits that I don't recall writing at all. It's actually quite spooky finding those bits and thinking they're actually pretty good.

Ditto what a lot of you have said. I frequently read the forums, post occasionally, and feel guilty because I should be using that time to write.
I told myself that I can't go online until I have spent X amount of time/written X amount of words. That helps most days. *g*

I do write something every day, though. Whether journal, outline, or my novel (a totally revamped version of NaNo '07. Same basic characters, premise, etc. but the actual text of my nano will, alas, not be resurrected. RIP)

As far as the low activity on the boards, we'll all just have to muddle along until it gets closer to November. Then the high energy will be back. Can't wait!!
