Hey all!

Chris and I are going to be Co-MLs over at www.scriptfrenzy.org for the month of April. We would love you to join. What is the Frenzy all about, you say?

From the site:

Script Frenzy is an international writing event in which participants attempt the daring feat of writing 100 pages of scripted material in the month of April. As part of a donation-funded nonprofit, Script Frenzy charges no fee to participate; there are also no valuable prizes awarded or "best" scripts singled out. Every writer who completes the goal of 100 pages is victorious and awe-inspiring and will receive a handsome Script Frenzy Winner's Certificate and web icon proclaiming this fact.

Even those who fall short of the word goal will be applauded for making a heroic attempt. Really, you have nothing to lose—except that nagging feeling that there's a script inside you that may never get out.

The 5 Basic Rules of Script Frenzy

1) To be crowned an official Script Frenzy winner, you must write a script (or multiple scripts) of at least 100 total pages and verify this tally on ScriptFrenzy.org.

2) You may write individually or in teams of two. Writer teams will have a 100-page total goal for their co-written script or scripts.

3) Script writing may begin no earlier than 12:00:01 AM on April 1 and must cease no later than 11:59:59 PM on April 30, local time.

4) You may write screenplays, stage plays, TV shows, short films, comic book and graphic novel scripts, adaptations of novels, or any other type of script your heart desires.

5) You must, at some point, have ridiculous amounts of fun.

We will be joining the script frenzy write ins for Hamilton with our regular write-ins, so no extra time required. Some of you may want to write in teams. I think that sounds like so much fun.

Let us know if you have any questions, we hope to see you in our forum over at the site.

THANKS!!

Rhonda.

PS. No write-in scheduled for this week :( since it is Easter. I may do an impromptu one Saturday though, as I have no life.

I was so going to do script frenzy, but the story that was going to use I'm already writing as a novel, so. . . Depends on if I have another story on April Fools.
And, I would so go to a random write-in because I haven't a life, either:-P

Yeah, I'm up for a 'we with no life' write-in, probably Saturday because the buses are on a regular saturday schedule and no holiday closures to speak of. :) Any further ideas for where and when?

How about tomorrow from 1:00-3:00ish at either Cafe Daneva or Infusions. I like Daneva, but I know Chris has a longer trek. Chris, how about you make the final decision here.

Rhonda.

I shall gladly join all of you in having no life, even if it is at Daneva (the good there is too damn good!)

Sos, I called my mum just moments ago and told her about my lappy (for those of you who don't know. SMASH! The screen doesn't work anymore) and yes, there was yelling and blaming me and her taking it personally - like she does everything - I'm off to the internet (yes, I realise I'm already on it) to see if there is any screens for reasonable prices. Wish me luck and hopefully my lappy will be fixed in time to complete ScriptFrenzy!

Erm, where's our corner of the SF site? Hamilton doesn't seem to be a recognized area. I did see Chris in the Toronto forums, though.

Hamilton is too small (we don't have enough members subscribed) to get our own section. Actually, we have as many as Ontario: Niagara but when I begged those in charge I was told it wouldn't happen :(

Yeah, I don't know who played the favor game and how to get the Niagara region created, since it's dead.

Hopefully, though, if we can finish up this year with a bunch of active Hamilton Frenziers, (and Hamilton winners even,) we'll be able to get our own region next year. I think that's the way it generally worked for Nano.

WTF?! I can get on Nano but not SF at school? Now, does this make sense to anyone?

That doesn't make sense. I have heard of more than a few strange SF glitches with messages not showing up, etc.

You seem to be doing really well though.

GO YOU!!!!!

As this seems to be the new spot for organizing write-ins...

I'm working two jobs now. This doesn't afford me a whole lot of free time. I would, however, like to see you people again, so I'm putting forth an extra one. I'll post what date and time, and any who feel like coming out for it are welcome.

I'm not doing Script Frenzy, though. I just wanna write and socialize :D
