Hi Bella and Elki,
I'm a bit of an old hand at this, and I was the Sydney Liaison Officer last year. I think that all those that have signed up previously keep their sign in, and the first time the access their account after the start of October (well this was the time last year anyway) their signin gets renewed for the year.
