I'm looking to start a blog. I have a .Mac account, which I'm considering using with Apple's iWeb, but I'd like other opinions.
Do any of you who blog have a favorite blogging site? Do you like where you are? Do you wish you'd picked somewhere else to host your words?

During my blogging days, I used Blogger, and tried to open one at WordPress. Of the two, I like Blogger better, just because it was less work to get a functional blog, and you can easily customize it via CSS editing if you want to. Then again, I've heard WordPress is much more functional because of all the plugins you can use if you choose to use the WordPress software on your own hosted space. Blogger was decent-- I didn't have any huge complaints, other than the fact that the web interface would sometimes go down.

I was bugged to start a Livejournal looooong ago when they still were doing invite codes, and been there ever since. Despite the reputation for 'drama', I've never seen much nor had any problem with it whatsoever. I think it's mostly certain people who whine publicly and loudly and no worse than anything you'd get from any other blogging community. LJ is extremely easy to use and has many privacy settings that can be tweaked to keep Google or certain people from finding your writing.

I went with wordpress.com. It seemed easy enough, and so far, so good. I decided not to stress about it -- as one site said, it's not like anyone is going to read my blog, at least right away, so I have time to play with it.
Thanks for the advice.
