After a peruse of "writing groups" forum, I found three things
a) people looking for a specific attribute i.e. Authors who are Christian, LDS, have Aspergers, HPSs, or have disabled kids, or homeschool, etc. Looking for somethign in common with another writer.
b) people looking for a specific genre in common with others.
c) people looking for a group based on physical location or virtual location (i.e. some other website, common users). Vanga, Great Lakes Horror writers.... et. al.
Any thoughts on splitting the "Writing groups" into three groups based on that? I know there are a lot of forums already but it might make it easier for a writer to find a common group if the flood of posts was... smaller. Any thoughts on giving people the option of classifying themselves (in more detail than just their genre)?

Moved to the suggestions forum.
Definitely an interesting idea. :) I'll think about it for next season.
