Would anyone be interested in starting a group for NaNo this year? I'm an Anacortes girl myself, and Bellingham's a bit far to commute without a car.

I'm on Whidbey Island, northern portion.

I'm not traveling to Blainegham aka Bellingham. Too far to go.

I'm thinking of going to Penguin Coffee in Anacortes, around 1pm if anyone wants to meet. I could make a little sign, or you can just spot me with the alphasmart.

For anyone not from Anacortes and wants to meet at Penguin Coffee here's the address:
2119 Commercial Ave, Anacortes.

I'm still really new to the area so I've never been but heard that it's a great spot to have a meeting or read the paper. What caught my eye is 5 cent drip coffee refills! If I'm going to be writing a novel in a month 5 cents helps!

I'm with you Comechatcha. I'm an Anacortes gal as well, although I live out by the Similk Bay Golf Course and beach instead of actually in town.

Whee, found the thread again. I forgot where it was. Oops. Anywho, even though NaNo's already started, would you be interested in a meet up, maybe on the tenth or something since it's a third of the way through? I dont' get home until three on weekdays since I'm a college student, so it'd have to be after that.

The 10th could work. My parents are picking up my uncle from Sea-Tac (?) at 2:30 so I think I can meet up at like 3ish. Where?

Oh! For anyone in the area there's a new writing group that meets up Tuesdays (every other Tuesday except this month) at the Library meeting room. The next meeting is on the 4th Tuesday of this month.

I actually attended the Library writing group, oh, three years ago. And yes, it's Sea-Tac. The Seattle-Tacoma Airport, affectionately known as Sea-Tac.

I don't think I'd be able to do the 10th, a monday. I'm only available on Tues-Thurs, 8-4 pm. I'm also in the process of moving. But let me know where you guys would be interested in meeting, and I might be able to swing it. If only the weather were nice, I'd suggest the Cape Sante Marina gazebo.

Anyone want to meet on the 8th? That way it's a Saturday. Or the 9th? I for some reason thought the 10th was Saturday....

Unfortunately, I have a convention this weekend, and won't be home probably until late Sunday night. But around three would be fine. Actually, I can just get off my bus early on the way home for a shorter walk.

Skagit County!! I've been looking everywhere for a "Skagit County!" Sedro Woolley myself. And here it is, a little over 1/2 over. Still, I'm going for 200k (or to just finish my book) if anyone's interesting in hanging out and Nano'ing or what have you let me know! I don't have anyone to truly chat with NaNo in real life and it's always nice to talk to someone else who's crazy enough to do this!

If anyone wants to meet up there's a writer's group I'm in that meets tomorrow at 2:30 at the library in the meeting room. Or I think around 4 I'm going to be at Starbucks (the stand alone one not ones in shops) on Commercial. I'll stay there unti 4:30ish to wait around for people.
