Returning Wri-Mo's know that during NaNo, we Kick it Off in style. Which means we need to schedule a Kick-Off Party. Please let me know of any date and location preferences (both positive and negative). Last year we had the Kick-Off Party at Bruce and Laura Delany's Rediscovered Bookshop in Boise. Bruce has kindly offered it to us once again to get the NaNo party started, so that is definately a possibility.

I personally think it would be fun to do the Kick-off Party on Halloween itself, since it's on a Friday night this year. But I am open to whatever :)

Sundays or Mondays are the ONLY days I have free. I work Tuesday through Saturday 4:30P-1:00A. I'll go along with whatever works well for the group, though.

Because of my schedule I may never get to meet you all face to face..but I do hope too. All I can say is give me some notice and I'll see what kind of babysitting I can line up!

Halloween would be the most opportune time, seeing that it's the night of NaNoWriMo eve, but I'm going to a friend's Halloween party.

The Kick-Off has been scheduled! It will be on Friday, October 24th from 5:30 - 7:30 at the Rediscovered Bookshop on Overland east of Cole in Boise. Yes folks, that really is only a week away! We will have games, meet-and-greets, and goodies for all. Also, we will start giving out PRIZES at the Kick-Off. What could possibly be better than goodies AND prizes all in one night?

Aw, man! I wanna come! But I can't ditch work for the Kick Off party. My boss would kick ME off. LOL And I kind of need my job. I don't make enough (read that as ANY) money off of my writing yet to justify not having a night job.

Thank you all so very much who came! The Kick-Off was a blast. If we didn't get your punch cards, please make sure you bring them to the next event you attend so that we can punch and collect them.

It was great to meet you all, and I hope to see all of you (and more) at events as November!

Well, gotta make apologies for not being there. I mapped it out to see how to get to that Bookshop but it was a little too far for me to go with no vehicle. Which ended up being a good thing since my husband had to go in for emergency dental surgery. Poor guy's whole left side of his face is swollen now. They had to dislocate his jaw to remove a tooth.

Yowzers.

As much as I'd love to say I'd make it to the all-nighter write-in ... I do have a 9 month old son. So I'll base my expectations in reality and say I'll be there if I can.

Hope you all had a lot of fun!

Wish I could have been there. I wasn't at work after all - I was (and still am) home with the flu! Pennalynn, ouch! I hope he feels better soon. And I will be looking forward to seeing everyone at the write-ins. I strongly doubt I'll make it in for the all nighter since I get off work at 1 AM and by that time all I want to do is go home. LOL But since the write-ins are on Sundays, and I have Sunday/Monday off from work, I should be able to make those.

*waves* See y'all there!
