This is my first ever time doing the NaNoWriMo and I know it'll be a blast. I've only been writing for a year and a half, but am on my way to finishing my first ever novel--61,000 words so far! In only three months!

Hopefully I'll be able to pull this off. I'll have to try to balance school, parents and siblings, and writing (nightmare!) but somehow I'll manage!

This is going to be great! I'm so excited!

I'm Eric, I live in Redford, and this will be my third year. I made it to 50,000 words each of the previous two years, but unfortunately, neither of the stories ever got completed after reaching the word goal! I'm hoping to do better this year, but not sure which plot to use out of all of the ones that are swirling in my head. I'll pick something out in a few weeks to start some planning, and then it's off to the races again! Can't wait!

The website relaunches at the beginning of October so everything pre October (well pre last couple days of September this year) is put in archive and the forums and everything start fresh!

This is my first NaNo, and I haven't written anything this big before ever. Mostly because I want to edit continuously as I write, which is why this seems like a pretty awesome experiment. I don't really have a plan, or even an outline... just some faint ideas so this really will be starting with a blank page this time.

Lynda here - this will be my first attempt at Nano. I used to be a fairly prolific writer, before I had kids, went back to college, etc. While some of my papers for college might have leaned a bit toward fiction ::grin::, I haven't purposely written any fiction for an excruciatingly long time. I have a few friends that participate in this insanity, so I decided to join them this year. I've certainly written stories this long before, but in one month? Yikes! Wish me luck!

Technically I'm in Saginaw right now, but for the past two years I was in the Detroit region and went to the write-ins there. I hope to make an appearance there again this year. My former (awesome) roommate and I met through NaNoWriMo, and I was located on Wayne State campus. I hope everyone has fun this year! I'm hoping that my region can be as awesome as it was last year at the Detroit write-ins. This is my fourth year doing NaNo, and I'm hoping to win this year!
