I live in Bend, Oregon. Not many novelists here, but more than enough poets. Unfortunately, I neither read or write poetry. I have some writing friends in Salem thereabouts, but only a handful near where I live. I'd love to make more connections. Anyone live in Central Oregon? Redmond? LaPine? Madras? Prineville? Dare I hope, Bend?

I'm going to be moving (back) to Bend by the beginning of November, so my novel writing will be happening in good ole Bend Oregon. :)

I think if you look around you'll find that there are a lot of fiction writers in the Bend area. Have you connected at the Nature of Words. www.thenatureofwords.org ,with anyone doing fiction?

Nature of Words is way too rich for my blood. I went to the dinner the first year it was held and wasn't impressed. I write commercial fiction and they all seemed to be short story writers and literary writers.

Did you try any of the workshops? That's where you'll make the connections, the dinner is more fundraiser I think.

Sisters resident here. I spend Mondays and Wednesdays in bend, though. COCC, mostly, but I always enjoy my time around town.

Hi
I just moved to Burns. Like you said, lots of poets, no novelists. Have you had many replys?

Hey guys! Bendite of sixteen years, but this is going to be my first year writing outside of the city, as I'm up in Tacoma for college! I'm really excited for this year. Anybody else already have most of their mapping done (I know I do!)?

Hey, how come everyone from Bend is over here? Bend's got its own forum now guys! (By the way, as you might be able to tell, I am also a proud Bendite.)

I've got a post over there on the Bend forum asking if anyone wanted to have a write-in somewhere. Anyone for that?
