Welcome newcomers!! The M'sian crew is a ball! I never get to its events because I'm in Canada, but it's great to see that the literary spirit is burning in Malaysia!

Hi everyone

Nice to see some new faces here.

I'm a returning participant. This will be my 7th year doing NaNo. My record is 4 completes and 2 incompletes. You can read about my NaNo experience here:
http://www.chetscorner.com/chatter/nanowrimo/

Writing 50,000 words in 30 days is not hard. All you need is planning, organisation, and discipline.

The Malaysian NaNo group has a group on Facebook, please join us:
http://www.new.facebook.com/home.php?ref=logo#/group.php?gid=7805393342

It has been pretty quiet, but should get quite busy closer to November.

The group is also having a kick-out meet-up on 1 November 2008 at Starbucks, The Gardens, between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. More info on Facebook:
http://www.new.facebook.com/events.php?ref=sb#/event.php?eid=10382109500...

The other returning participants should be turning up soon.

yay, my first time too! I have exams in January, I want to get writing out of my system so that (hopefully) I can study better XD
And I came up with the story approximately 3 weeks ago; I'm going to try my best to hot 50K in a month.

I reckon Malaysia boleh! is the right spirit

and selamat hari raya aidil fitri too~

HEEEYYY!!! I'm back!!!

Ok, so maybe you guys don't really remember me. I joined NaNo at the tender age of 14, participated every year after that except last year when I had SPM, so this year i'm back with a vengence! :D And for once, I can participate in the events! I'm from Johor and never had the chance to meet fellow wrimos, but now I study in KL, so I can join!

Anyway, notice how I didn't mention the results of my NaNo adventures? Well, because I haven't won even one of them *cough* *cough*. But this year I will! I am going to, exams be damned. (Have you guys got the mail titled 'Don't make us come get you'? That did it for me. College is crazy with crazy workloads, but heck, I deserve some play time).

Anyway, I have no plot, no characters, and no time to plan them yet. But something will come up, I'm sure. They will, in time...

Yay!! It's so cool to find so many Malaysians here. :D Wish I started when I was in KL. Now that I'm studying in the states, its not going to be easy to meet up with any Malaysian NaNo writers. Ah well.

Small intro. I'm originally from Sabah, so I guess we're a little deprived of active novel writing there. Wish I had been introduced to this art earlier. Meh, better late than never. Title of my plot is "Conjurer Plus" Hope to finish it, and make friends with other Malaysian writers. :D All the best guys.

Hey. ^-^ It's a first for me too. Heard of this through a friend's journal in deviantART.
Personally I'm working on a plot I've been wanting to do since I was ten (six years deh!).
Hope all of us will be able to overcome the mark and develope something creative too. ^0^

I'm a first-timer x3

I was wondering... Should I do it in Mandarin or English? But I definitely feel better writing in Mandarin but i doubt anyone of my friends are able to understand what I wrote though x)

First-timer here, despite the fact that I've registered last year. ^^'

I do have exams on Mid-November, but I'll try my best!

As for a plot, well, I have one in mind. I just need the guts to write it.

This is my second time. I did it last year but completely forgot about it when I went traveling. >_> I fail, I know. So I'm trying to restart it but yes, I fail with plots...

You should just write what feels most comfortable to you.
If it's not, you'll probably go through hell during the actual writing! ^0^ Haha.
You could always translate it slowly later on for your friends.
