Welcome back, everybody! This is just a shout-out to all the folks who live in the Woburn/Burlington area, who had our write-ins at the Borders in Wayside Commons, to see who's interested in doing it again.
The last few years, we've been meeting Wednesday nights, around seven. I think last year some people did Sundays as well. Either one would work for me, so it's up to you.
I'm so excited to be back here again! Write on, fellow NaNoers, write on!

Hi! I recently moved to the area and I'm super excited for nanowrimo08. Anyone else from the 128 area up for a pre-Nano event around the last week of October? Give me suggestions for meeting places and times!

Is Wednesday good for you? We could meet Wednesday, the 29th, at Borders, around 7-8ish? If not, I can do it any other day that week (except Friday), same time and place.

Hi - this is my first year. I work at Lahey Clinic so I am psyched to learn that there is a write-in so close to where I am during the week! As this is my first year I am not sure what to expect, but I am excited to meet fellow participants! I would love to come on 10/29 and will keep checking this thread to see if it is definite or not.

Unless I have a softball game, I can be at Borders in Burlington on Wed. 10/29 for 7:00pm (the one across from the Burlington Mall, right?)

Anyone else?

Yes, the one across from the Burlington Mall. :-) It's next to the L.L. Bean store.

Wahoo - we got quite a group forming for Burlington!

I'm planning on setting up a little sign that says "NaNoWriMo" on one of the tables in the cafe on the second floor. See you guys there!

hi victoria

thanks for replying. after i asked about "borders across from burlington mall" i realized that i was thinking of barnes & noble, not borders!

so, can you tell me where the borders is in reference to the mall? and/or in ref to barnes & noble? thanks.

Hi John,

From the Borders website:

Welcome to Borders in beautiful Burlington, Massachusetts. We are located in the Wayside Commons center next to L.L.Bean and across the parking lot from the new Capital Grill. To get to us, take Exit 33A off of Route 95.

And here's a link to the map:

Thank you for the directions, Victoria.

OK, to summarize our plans:

Wednesday, October 29

7:00 PM

Border's in Burlington

2nd Floor cafe - look for the Nano sign. Look for the group of writers, surrounded by the crowd of literary agents and publishers waving contracts...

What's up guys?

6th year vet. I likely will not be able to join you guys since I'm almost always at work Wednesday nights. (But I work right down the street at the Trader Joe's. You could always come in and say hi ^_^)

Would Tuesdays or Fridays work well for anyone? Those are generally the best nights for me.

Anyone else up for a second meet up on Halloween? I saw on the roll call that Lizy will be 21 so how about a plot planning / trick-er-drinking session to celebrate the beginning of Nanowrimo, the end of our sanity and a fellow nanoer b-day?

Meeting up at Borders to meet fellow Nanoers would be awesome, but, like Justice, I may be working. Also like Justice, I work in that area, but at...Well, actually the store is called "Justice." XD It's the clothing store for young girls, sister store to "Limited Too."

If I can, I may stop by for a little bit, just to meet others and get more enthusiastic about NaNo. :-) As for the "trick-er-drinking"...I'm only 18. ^^' But happy birthday to Lizy! :-D

I could do Tuesdays, but not Fridays. Actually, I could do any night but Friday, and any time on Sunday. I work every other Saturday, so possibly one or two Saturdays as well.
We can work it out so that everyone can come to at least one write-in.

Ooo I don't have plans on Halloween yet. I am totally down for any awesome ideas people have. My friends are like "OMG! We'll meet you in Salem!" to which I respond "Are you crazy? I'm sprinting out of there 'cause it's Halloween in Salem. God, as if the tourists aren't bad enough!

So yeah, I may end up working on my birthday, but I definitely have the 31st off. I may have Saturday the 1st off as well so I think a drinking/writing night could be awesome if we could find a way to pull it off. If not, I might just drink at my friends' apartment and write. XD What a way to start.

And possibility I may be able to switch my night off from Tuesday to Wednesday. But I am *always* up for a write-in Friday night.

Ok, we've got the Borders meet up on the 29th; whose able to make a drink / plot / get ready to write meeting on the 31st?

Also, what days work for you for the first week of November? Check your calenders and lets see what happens when we put a bunch of writers in one room!

Hey guys. I'm totally in for Wednesday the 29th, but I already have plans for Halloween. Other than that, Wednesdays during the month should be good for me. I might be able to make Sundays too, depending on the time.

Put myself +1. I may have a few more tagged along with me -it depends if I can drag my guys away from the comic book store for a night. If not it'll probably just be me.

I can come tonight, and Friday possibly after my kid's art class. Friday is at Joe's, correct? My daughter is doing this too, and can come on Friday, I think.

Sry, couldn't make last night, I'm shooting for Joe's or Borders on Friday, but chances are low. If after the kiddos are put to bed, then I may be able to slip out, say 8:30ish or later. /sigh.

How would we know who's with whom at Joe's? Would we just get there at about 6:30 and have nametags or something? I'd definitely love to go.
