Hello, fellow wisconsinites who are embarking on this historic quest. Thee shalt require courage and bravery... *ahem*
Or perhaps just insanity.
Anyways, I'm a fifteen year old, and last year my attempt at NaNoWriMo was dismal. This year, I'm already brainstorming, and I can't wait! I just wanted to pop in here and say hello. I may be writing an article for my school newspaper about NaNoWriMo, so hopefully our humble group can grow!

I'm also a teenage NaNoer (not a word.... lol), and I have an excellent measure of insanity to draw upon, so I just might make it. :) Last year I won, but my novel was dreadful. I'm hoping for better results this year.
I'm glad to hear you're writing about it in your school paper. My homeschool group has... let's see... six girls writing for NaNo this year. I'm very excited. ^.^
I hope your NaNo novel works out this year!

Greetings!
I'm a teacher at a school in Waukesha, and along with me writing my first novel this year, my homeroom students will be participating in the YWP. I've set their goals at a 10,000 word minimum and some have even taken up the challenge of getting to 50,000! I'm super excited.
I wonder if there's some way that my principal will let me try and get you to come in to give a pep talk to my class before the 1st. Would you be interested in that? As someone who has participated before, I'm sure they'd love to hear a first hand example.

Hello,
I am a 35 year old female from Waukesha and this will be my second attempt at NaNoWriMo challenge. Last year I began my novel and lost it due to file corruption and also the back up file corrupting too. That was heartbreaking. However, I didn't let that stop me I started up again and managed to create 5,000 words before my novel fizzled out due to life commitments. To be honest I don't know much about character development or outlining for a novel. I am uncertain what I am supposed to be doing to prepare myself for this other than trying to clear my obligations as much as possible for November. I am really interested in doing write ins though I don't have a laptop. I really want to connect with other writers in Waukesha. Anyone doing a write in in Waukesha?

Technically I'm not in Waukesha, but I figure New Berlin is close enough. I'm a multi-published author of historical romance, which counts for nothing when trying to get 50,000 words written in a month. Yikes. Best of luck to all of us!

Hi - another Waukesha resident here! This is my first attempt at NaNo.
I'm working on a YA series and am currently marketing the first book, My Life in The Void. During NaNo, I plan on working on the second in the series - My Life as A Wench.
Good luck to all!
