Las Vegas isn't officially my Home Region, but I'm in Pahrump and being we're neighbors just wanted to say hi! I'm completely new to this site, but hope to have lots of fun. A mom of 2, I'm not sure how much writing time I'll get in, but I'll try.

*stretches* The creative juices are already flowing. I've already got a good idea of the plot of this year's project (which is book 4 of my Blademaster Chronicles) I'm introducing cool new characters and a lot of trouble for my existing characters. it's sure to be exciting! And, in addition, the first book in the series is scheduled to be released in February, so it's all really just exciting!

I already wrote a comment here once before - but then the server crashed and all was lost! I am also from Pahrump, with kids, hubbie and job, but I'm going for it again this year after putting one unedited, rough but 50K wordcount Nanonovel from last year on the shelf. I'm a winner! I've been at it for years. I'm going to do better this year.

This is my first year and I am way too excited. I'm going to be going all low-tech, Remington Quiet-Riter (June) and IBM Selectric I (Doris). Then, OCR and crossed fingers.

Has it been a year already? I made it through last year's and I'm looking forward to giving it another go. Any plans for meetings on the East side yet?

:) I'm a newcomer to this, and I hope it'll be a lot of fun! I'm amazed there are so many people from Las Vegas participating in this.
Or... maybe not so amazed. This is Vegas, after all.

Okay. Against better judgment, I'm in.
I won last year, but I never finished the novel. I think there may be another 50,000 words I can write on the same theme. We shall see. But I can't start till after the election on November 4th (I'm working fulltime for a candidate), and I'm doubtful that I'll be able to crank out 2,000 words a day the remainder of the month, but what the hey...

Wow its been a year and this one promises to be nearly as intresting as last year for me. Thankfully I am home this year, but still have lots on my plate. A ill mother now living with me, a 21 year daughter expecting my grandson on Nov 5th and this Wednesday (Oct 8th) I am having surgery on my left wrist with a six week recovery time. The doctor assures me I can type by Nov 1st so I am ready to go with a great story that has been swirling around in my head for the past year and is ready to be told.
So, Hello to all my old friends and hello to all the new ones. I look forward to an exciting month and getting to know everyone.

Mmm, gingerbread- my favorite cookie (how DID you know???) ;)
Hi all, I hope the writing fairy smiles on all of us, and everyone will find incredible amounts of inspiration this year. Fall always helps me write- autumn never fails to have a certain charge in the air, and it keeps me moving, and jotting ideas.
If anyone else is in Henderson, I hope we'll see an East side write-in! I'm not sure how much time I'll have to be active in meet ups, but I can definitely suggest a few places to gather. Personally, I'll be in whichever coffee shop calls to me on any given writing day.

----------Anyway, this is my first year, and it sound like it will be fun.
ESSAY ON MAN
Man never knows precisely what is right;
So torn between a purpose and a doubt,
He first makes windows to let in the light
And then hangs curtains up to shut it out.

This is my second year; winning last year, and I hope to do the same this year as well. I also have a plot in mind and it's tempting not to write anything until November 1st, lol.
