I have noticed the last couple of years that many of the regional Wrimo groups have mascots. In some forums they arwe asking everyone to post their mascot. I am opening up the floor for suggestions on our own mascot and offerring an idea of my own.
At one time I was going to use an owl for a writing group, but never ended up doing much with it, so I would like to utilize that now.

(as in many of us are night owls and they say all the best writing is done by the moonlight! hehehe!)
We can have our OWL holding the traditional NANO pencil in his claw.
Any more suggestions out there? Lemme hear 'em!

I like the idea of an owl.
This night owl's learned through long experience that his best writing is done between 7 and 9 am. You have no idea how unhappy that made me. <_< Oh well, gotta work with what you're given.

I like the owl too! I don't have any other suggestions but I was looking at the pencil the official Nano logo-man is holding and thinking it could be a corn-cob if someone drew on it just right. But that would just reinforce the stereotype that Nebraska is just about corn.
