I'm Whtiney and I live in Ann Arbor. I have never seriously written anything in my life, other than term papers, so I don't know how this will go. Some of my co-workers will likely pop up in this region soon, we are trying it together.

I have no ideas and no clue how to write a novel, but I would guess that I will improve my typing speed...

I also haven't a clue where to start or where I'm going, but I'm looking forward to the journey.

This is my first time doing NaNoWriMo, too! I'm really nervous; I've never written a 50,000 word novel before! I've been working on this one novel for almost three months now, and I only have almost 5,000 words. :-P Wish me luck!

The BEST thing about NaNo is that you don't have time to dwell on WHAT you wrote. It might entirely suck. It might not suck nearly as much as you think it will, though. Usually it doesn't.

The trick is to just barrel through it. Write half formed thoughts and ideas down and just flesh them out and before you know it, you have the makings of a story.
