Last year, I scheduled two write-ins at the Borders bookstore in Rancho Cucamonga at Victoria Gardens. I can do it again, but as of my schedule today, I can only set up one every Wednesday for the next four weeks and the 11th with no school and all. If this works, let me know and I will inform about adding a weekend to it.

I moved to Rancho (from Riverside) since the last NaNo, so I'd definitely be interested in meeting up with you this year. I'm good any day of the week except for Thursdays and Fridays, so just let me know when!

That's actually like, crazy close. Less than an hour's drive. XD If the times of day work out, I'd love to be there. Let me know whenever you have a time.

Oh that sounds fab! I'd like to try to attend. I don't know what my schedule will be like at that point, though. :( But we'll see. :D

If and when you all schedule a write-in, just let me know and I will add it to our regional Google calendar, OK?

Date, time, name of the business, their address, who's hosting (your name) and any details like free wi-fi, parking in the rear, great pastries, or live music after 7 PM.

Yes! Currently at University of Redlands (I'm originally from the OC) and trying to find some wrimos... I'm only a Freshman so I don't know the area too well, but I have a car and I will drive within reason (which for SoCal is under an hour XD) to meet up with people.

My co-ML Sara is in Redlands, I believe. I would expect as it gets closer to November and also as more people sign up, Sara will organize some write-ins in the area.

Last year we had a couple write-ins over at the Riverside Plaza in Riverside. I'd definitely be into that for any locals who live within the city limits who can't drive far.

Yeah, I live in Riverside near the Plaza. In fact, I spend way too much time at Borders.

Borders at the Plaza - cool. So is that where the write in takes place? Dates set? I'm in.

We actually do it at the Coffee Depot right across from Borders, and it looks like it'll be Wednesday nights from 8-10pm. With the chance of a marathon night on November 30th depending if people (ie. me) are slacking off again ;-)

Hi Wrimos,

I'm in Claremont and Rancho Cucamonga isn't far so if you do set up times, I'd be interested in coming. I just got a new AIR to be portable for Write Ins.
cheers,

We should definitely try to get a Rancho group going as well. Are there any nights that work best for you? Don't work?

During ScriptFrenzy, I created a free chat room for us to hold online events. Anyone can use this room. It is on chatzy.com.

Here's the link: http://www.chatzy.com/775906510872
The password is: nano

You have to sign up and log in to chat but it's super easy and fast! Once you're there, you can send out invitations to others. Feel free to use it before, during and after November.

ANYONE who's hosting a write-in should contact either Sara or me with your email (not NaNo mail) address to get a Write-In Flyer. I usually tape one to my laptop at write-ins so people (who don't yet know me by sight) know they're in the right place. The flyers are available in the ML section of this website (it's top secret and I'm not supposed to mention it, so shhh!) and we'd be happy to email one to you.

I'm definitely up for Rancho write ins but everyone seems to like Weds and that's my hardest night, I have several once a month things that meet on Weds nights.
cheers,

Hey Professor, why not see if anyone in your area is interested in another night in addition to Wednesdays? You can organize a write-in too.The more, the merrier - some people would like a write-in every day! And honestly, there maybe someone else who'd prefer another night. Or an additional night.

Just let Sara or me know so we can add everyone's events to the calendar.

Is there still going to be a write-in this Wednesday at the Coffee Depot by Borders in Riverside? I have not joined in yet, but I'd like to meet you all and hopefully keep my momentum going. Do you all seem to get much done when you're together? How many people have been showing up? Is there free wi-fi?

Thanks!

Christine

Hey Christine, when people have me put a write-in on the calendar, they are committing to being there.

As far as the rest of your questions, I'm sure someone who's been to a Coffee Depot write-in can answer them. We have pretty productive write-ins in Temecula!

Have fun!!

Yes, we'll still be there this Wednesday =) We've had a fairly large turnout, usually 8 or so, and most of us tend to get a decent amount of work done. Some of us get less done than others ;-) And yes, there is free wi-fi (one of us can get you set up on that cuz it's confusing the first time).

Hopefully we'll see you out there on Wednesday!

I will definitely be there on Wednesday. Can't wait to meet you all. How will I know you're nano people? Will it be fairly obvious when I get there?

They should have a sign on the table saying Nanowrimo, and, like the other guy said, a bunch of laptops and venti's.
