I'm moving to NC (Greensboro) in the middle of October. I was in S.Florida for my last Nano and I LOVED meeting up with people for write ins. I will be sorely disappointed if I'm not able to do that this year.

I can be the hostess, bringing goodies and holding write ins. The only Thursday I won't be available for is Thanksgiving as I'm going out of state.

Please please please, let there be people who will meet up with me. I love word wars and getting distracted by good (and bad) conversation. I'm 22 and this is my fourth year.

Gather, all ye Nano'ers: drink coffee and write!

Dear inl0ve,
Welcome to the area! We do have a local writers' group, and this is the first year we're doing nanowrimo - feel free to join us newbies! I'm going to try again to start our forum (it got lost in the "great crash of Oct. 1" along with my reply to you). Look under Forums, Writing Groups and Clubs, then find Writers Group of the Triad - N.C.
You can get general information about the group at www.triadwriters.org.

Well, we haven't even started yet and we've been kicked out! - It must be a party!
Actually, the moderator asked us to move from the Forums tab to Regions. I started a new thread, under this N.C. region, called Writer's Group of the Triad.

This is my first year participating. I'm not even sure what word war means... :) I look forward to talking to you all.

Hi,

I was hoping someone might have a suggestion about where us Greensboro Nano-ers might meet... Then it dawned on me that I could suggest something... We have a nice Borders on High Point Rd and a nice Barnes & Noble at Friendly Center. We could all meet there...

Just a suggestion!

Hi, Sandman65. Look under the Writers Group of the Triad thread. We just posted the schedule for weekly write-ins. Great minds think alike!

Hey, I'm a little confused. I looked up the schedule and it said the next scheduled write-in was on Saturday November 13. But the 13th is today which is a thursday. Is there some other schedule that I am missing? I would love to attend the write-in as this is my first nanowrimo. Please help.

My bad - we corrected it on the other thread. It's Saturday, Nov. 15 at Tate Street Cafe.
