Awww, my post was one of the ones that fell victim to the server biting the dust.

Anyway, for those in the northerly section of the Denver metro area, we already have some write-ins scheduled! We currently plan to meet on Tuesdays at 7 at the Atlanta Bread Company located at 104th and I-25. The proper address for those who like such things:

351 West 104th Avenue
Northglenn, Colorado 80234

The store closes at 9, I believe, but quite a lot of typing can be done in two hours. We do greet and bid one another goodbye, and have intermittent speaking during, but it is primarily a write-in.

We're also "official" and listed on the Denver area calendar. But if we get a lot of people who hate the time/location, I imagine we could see about changing it, or adding on another. My word count goes up drastically when I'm out of my apartment, so adding more is fine with me. :D

Here's hoping this post will stay on the board!

Yeah, we probably need to add another write-in day to the schedule. I have a 5 week course that starts in the middle of november, and it goes from 6-10pm on Tuesdays! :(

(Plus, you know, the more write-ins the better, amirite?)

I do agree, the more write-ins the better! My only other consistent commitment for November is 2nd and 4th Mondays, so I don't have a strong preference. Did you have another day/time in mind, Sassee?

How's Thursdays, same time/place? The only day I have trouble with is Wendesdays, but I could still come a bit late. I get a lot done at write-ins than at home myself, so the more the better lol

I think Thursdays will work. I might not be able to get there right at 7:00, but definitely no later than 7:30.

Hi. Sounds awesome to me. So we are going to meet on Tuesdays at 7pm AND there will be other days as well? Please post all the write-ups, so I can attend. Sounds like fun.

I was considering nixing Tuesdays, but if others can make it, I'll keep it and just adjust my budget to accommodate the increased beverage purchases. :)

So our current write-ins are Tuesdays and Thursdays, both at 7 pm, at the Atlanta Bread Company at I-25 and 104th:

Atlanta Bread Company
351 West 104th Avenue
Northglenn, Colorado 80234

Even though Tues is already listed on the calendar, if others want to suggest another location for it, that's fine with me. But it'd be nice if we can keep Thurs at ABC out of respect for Sassee (who gets special points for being the first one to reply to the thread. ;) )

I can't make Thursdays, but Tuesdays are great for me.

(BTW, hi! This is my first year doing this and I can't wait to meet you all. :) )

I copied your Tuesday event on the calendar so it now appears on every Thursday except Thanksgiving, let me know if you want any changes!

Tuesdays and Thursday are just about perfect. This is my first year participating and I'm pretty stoked about getting together with everyone. I live in Firestone, it's pretty much in a place all of its own. Close to alot, but part of nothing. Having the write-ins off of I-25 saves me tons of driving time too.

Hello, hopedangling and tanfleming! I'm very stoked that it looks like both Tuesday and Thursday will have pretty good NaNo crowds. ABC won't know what hit 'em!

tanfleming, I actually work near Firestone (though our mailing address is Longmont--go figure) so I know exactly what you mean! But I figure with out the burgeoning housing developments, more businesses and things have to come up at some point. We'll be thrilled if we get sit-down restaurants around here rather than just fast food.

Twelve days!

Hello everyone! I am new to Nano this year as well. I live in Thornton and would love to participate in as many write-ins as possible. I look forward to meeting all of you.

Also, I was wondering if anyone was interested in doing any daytime write-ins in the area. I am a single mother, so getting in on all of the scheduled night sessions might pose a challenge.

Hi twindenver! Daytime write-ins are difficult for me since I work full-time, and my weekends are usually pretty full already. But if you go ahead and post what days you'd like, maybe others can meet up with you. :)

All right, Northglenn/Thornton area wrimos, or wrimos who travel through the Northglenn/Thornton area, or those who just want to go to another write-in, if you know what's good for your word count, you'll be at the Atlanta Bread Company at I-25 and 104th tomorrow evening, Tuesday, at 7pm.

Again, the focus is really writing--we greet and bid one another adieu and have intermittent talk in between, but the primary purpose is writing. And don't forget, we're meeting at the same time and same location on Thursdays, except for Thanksgiving.

For recognition purposes, I have brown curly hair. I'm also going to do my best to remember to put my NaNo viking sticker on my laptop and print out one of the signs.

See you tomorrow night!

Hey, I might go tonight if I'm not too wrapped up in the election :)
I'm Mandi, I remember you from the starbucks write-in/first book drive last year so I think I might be able to pick you out of a crowd :)
I'll wear my nano shirt to show some pride, of course :)
And one more smiley face because there can never be too many :)

Thanks to everyone who came on Tuesday! We had a pretty good turnout, particularly considering it was election night.

We are meeting again, same place, same time. Depending on how quickly I finish with my grocery shopping, I might be a little late myself, but hopefully not by much more than fifteen minutes. I'll bring my sign again and try to remember tape to get it stand up better. Fixing it repeatedly cut into writing time. :(

I'll be hanging out in one of the booths so that I can have a plug in for my laptop. I'm writing this in Google Docs so I can access it anywhere (or that's the plan, anyway... doesn't work so well when the internet goes down... ).

Write-in still happening Tuesday the 11th? My November exams will be over and I'll finally be able to focus!

I didn't attend last week because of the election, but this week I certainly hope to be there!

Yes, we are on for Tuesday! LadyVivamus brought us some nifty placard type dealios on Thursday and ought to be able to bring them again, so we're pretty easy to spot, if the clusters of laptops and people madly typing away aren't clue enough. :)

And we're meeting tonight again! I will probably be there for at least part of it, but may leave at 8-ish. Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers has an event going on at Borders (the one in the same shopping area) that I'd like to support. But then again if I get in a groove (or feel my word count is too low) I may just stay at ABC.

So sorry I couldn't make it on Tuesday, and I also have a commitment tonight, unfortunately... but I may have a way to ensure that the table tents are there... *contemplates options*

Work ended up wiping me out so I think I'll just strive for my 2,667 words (I'm shooting for 80k this year) on my lonesome tonight. Hopefully there will be someone around to take care of the table tents if you find a way of getting them there. 'Course, this post may be moot since it's almost 6:30 now...

But I should see everyone on Tuesday. :)

So that's why no one was there last night? I just thought it was my new cologne. I did get some good writing in even tho' I was alone. Hope to see everyone on Tuesday.

Oops, sorry no one was there to keep you company! But I will be there tonight for sure. Hope others can make it, too!
