This might be a bit late to announce this for this year but I'm going to
suggest it anyway so that everyone involved can start thinking about it:
A North Dakota-wide NaNoWriMo get together.
This would be a large scale meeting, we'd need a hotel conference room
sized area to meet (or something like that) so that we could get
everyone interested together!
So, who is in for this idea? Either this year or next...

That might be something to plan during this NaNoWriMo and announce all the details at the end for next year so we all have time to get vacation for travel and whatnot. And something to look forward to!
Maybe like a last huge inspiring write-in all together, with food?

Even if everyone who's ever posted on the forums showed up, we still wouldn't need a hotel conference room. I think the (brand new) back room at Parallax could handle us! (Once it's open - sadly, probably not in time this year.)
In 2009, Oct. 31 is a Saturday, so we might be able to manage an opening night kick-off/write-in then. What do you think?

That would be awesome! We have a pretty active little NaNo group here in Bismarck, and it would be fun to meet everybody else. Count me in!
