Yeah, I got an e-mail from her, put in the application, then a day or so ago sent her another e-mail. If I don't hear back soon I'll pull out the lemme-do-it-lemme-do-it-huh-huh-can-I e-mail, but I'm trying to preserve my dignity as long as I can... :-)
Seriously, given the pay that goes with the job, I'll just either do it officially or unofficially - I think the main diff is if you're official you get stickers...

Hello, I'm from the Dothan area (a little town called Daleville, actually) and would love to be involved with the group. I could use the support as this will be my first NaNoWriMo. I'm feeling the pressure and getting scared already!

I retired out of Ft. Rucker in '96 so I am familiar with Daleville. I go to the Commisary every other Saturday so I'm through there quite often. I know the feeling of trying to do the first one. I almost chickened out last year, but hung in there and made it. It helped having a couple people checking on me and giving a word of encouragement from time to time. That is where the writing buddies really help, so count me in!

Wherever you guys feel is easier to get to, but StephanieGayle (see above in this thread) is a Municipal Liason in the Troy area, if I have my geography straight. So don't overlook that...

Thanks, I wanted to try and learn a bit from the Troy group so that we can start building one here in Dothan. This is my second year, but did not get to any group meeting in the other areas last year.
