Yo!
It's gonna be really hard to get nano done with school looming over me...but glad to see I'm not the only crazy one. :D

Hey guys.

Have any of you participated before? I didn't even know about NaNoWriMo until about a week ago, so knowing anyone who's already done this would be cool.

Lawlrus: Yep, this is my third year to do nano. My advice? Make sure you're writing something you enjoy.

And caffeine. That's important too. I probably wouldn't have survived last year without caffeine.

I agree with the statement above. If you're not writing something that just sucks you in, there's no way in hell you'll finish it. Keep it random, keep it fun, and invest in coffee. :)

Good luck!!

Hey you guys,

I just heard about this today and thought I would at least attempt even though I'm SO behind. I already have two manuscripts started, but nothing for NaNo yet (besides an idea I'm not sure about). UTA's homework causes me to become a hermit, thus causing me to have almost zero inspiration. So who knows how far I will get.

Glad to see you guys here.

Is anyone here going to The Night of Writing Dangerously on Friday? If you are, PM me. I really want to go, but don't really want to go alone.

I got an email about it so I assumed everyone else did. My bad. I think it sounds really fun! Expecially to get to know other NaNoers in the area. If anyone wants to go, PM me, and we can set it up!

HERE IS THE ORIGINAL TEXT FROM THE EMAIL:
This Friday, November 14th, we will be hosting our very own Night of Writing Dangerously in Arlington, from 7:00 pm Friday night to 7:00 am Saturday morning. Join us!

The event will be held at Shepherd of Life Lutheran Church, 715 E. Lamar Blvd, Arlington, TX 76011. The church is north of I-30, on Lamar just east of 157/Collns (just after the Whole Foods if you're coming from 157).

We will start the night on the Youth Room. There will be signs posted, but please DO NOT use the main doors (there is a wedding rehearsal going on that night); the door we will use is next to the playground.

If you have any questions, please call me at 469-879-2383.

We will have access to a full-service kitchen, so please bring foodstuffs for yourself (we can use refrigerators, freezers, microwaves and ovens), and feel free to bring snacks or other goodies to share!

This event is a huge word-count booster for us, and a fundraiser for NaNoWriMo and the Office of Letters and Light. Bring some moolah! We will have gauntlet-throwing word-war challenges, and word bags where you can buy words, characters, plot bunnies, and anything else you might need to get your novel rolling again if you start to run out of gas.

Hey you guys!!

I am definitely going for The Night of Writing Dangerously on Friday! See my previous post for the info if you didn't get the email. It's also in a sticky for the DFW thread. If anyone is going to go and wants to meet up then PM me and I'll provide you with my phone number and we can find each other, or I'll just tell you what I'm going to be wearing, but I'm not sure how many people will be there.

IT'S VERY CLOSE TO UTA!!

715 E Lamar Blvd, Arlington, TX 76011
