Please don't tell me I'm the only one up here in the sticks! I'm listed as Edinboro due to school, but I hail from Franklin down in Venango. Give me a post if you're up in our region and writing this year!

So far you're the only one in the sticks, as I'm from Erie which isn't exactly the sticks...

I'm a Meadvillian at the moment as well, because I'm in college at the moment, so you're not alone, Franklin-ian! :) Howdy!

I'm from right between Meadville and Erie, definitely 'in the sticks'. *pokes forums* Nice to meet everyone!

Hey babs, d'you know if that meet-up for the 18th at Borders is still on?

I'm another one up in Erie. I think this whole corner can affectionately (?) known as the sticks.

Hi!
I'm also from Meadville. Glad to see there are others from the area, and nice to meet you all!

How are you preparing for November's writing challenge?

Cool, I'm not the only one hailing from Linesville. Technically schooling in Grove City--GCC--but Linesville's where I live during vacations. I hadn't thought there would be that many writers in this area. It's a pleasant surprise.

Kane is northwest-ish. Ever been to the stone-skipping contest at the River Romp?

Hey Guardian, I used to camp right outside of Kane, about 20 minutes from town! The family and I would go up to Kiasutha every year, and my parents still attend.

And Babs, what's this about a meetup? I go to Borders about once a week...well, the one in Millcreek.

The Borders in Milcreek (if we're talking about the one by the mall) is the place where this meet-up is planned, if memory serves me correctly.

I hail from Fairview, which is close to Erie. XD We're kinda in the sticks but not quite.

Heyla everyone *waves*

Yeah, the meetup is at Borders. At...1pm, I do believe! *sends imaginary invitations out to all and sundry*

Erm, well...by doing...not much.

I've expanded on some char sketches and scribbled down a few random ideas, but that's it. I've had the characters for ages now, but the plot mutates from week to week. I've given up trying to pin it down--with any luck it'll settle once November rolls around. *crosses fingers*

I'm a transplant to the area, but I'm living in Edinboro.

There's a gathering at the Millcreek Borders? Details please!?

Aww, lame! Wish I could join but I'm at school in Washington DC (but I like the smaller community of Erie)

Yes! Sorry, real life has crashed in a bit! *LOL* We're planning a meet-up to talk inspiration October 18 at 1 p.m. at Borders by the Millcreek Mall. This isn't really in the nature of a write-in (tho I'd really like to see us do that in November one weekend!!) but more to gain some support and match faces to names. Wow, there's so many more here than there were last year! I'd have a couple of seats to offer in my van for a ride up on that date, if someone needs it.

Shrew, you at Allegheny??

I'm from Hermitage. I guess that's rather northwest-ish. :)

Yes indeedy. And looking forward to Break this weekend, might I add. (Wherein, of course, I'll be revising poems...the work never ends!)

Awesome! I'll try my best to make it to Borders.

Also -- a write-in one weekend would be bloody fabulous. XDD

I'm all for a write-in in November, since my chances of making the meet-up on the 18th are slim to none. :(

I'm about 20 minutes away from Meadville.

The meeting thing sounds like a blast, but unfortunately, I can't make it this time around. Maybe next time.

Hi! Nina from Edinboro here ^_^ (Yes. Edinboro THE TOWN. I grew up here, moved to Wesleyville a few years ago to live with my grampa, now schooling at EUP. I still consider myself a townie.)

Where are we meeting at Borders? Like, in the cafe, or a specific section, or outside, or what?

Good question Nina! I need coffee by the time I get to Erie. So I vote for the cafe. I'll try to be early, but if someone gets there before me....grab a table in a corner and put out a paper that says NaNoWriMo-- we'll all find each other--heck maybe we'll recruit some more crazy people!!!

Greetings from Nashville, TN.
I'm not from the NW corner of PA (never have been, truth be told), but I AM from Ashtabula County, Ohio, which is the northeastern most county in Ohio, bordering Lake Erie and the PA line.

Anyway, there are exactly two locations in all of Ashtabula County with free wi-fi (Which I still 2 more than I thought there would be, truth be told!) and I am going to plan to be at each one once when I go home to Ohio for a couple weeks.

Once I know dates and times, one will be a weeknight, the other will be a weekday morning/mid afternoon.
I don't mind sitting alone, lord knows I do it enough here in TN, but it'd be nice for the company if anyone wants to join me.

K, so, corner of the Border's cafe with a sign that says NaNoWriMo. Got it. I'll likely be there early, so I'll be sure to try and remember this ^.~
