Hey! Any Jumbos around? I'd like to start a NaNo group here on campus -- message me if you're interested! We could take over the Tower in Tisch and rock out in a literary way :)

While not a Tufts student I live right near by (Electric Avenue). Is that enough of a connection?

Same as GhostLite; my house is right next to Tuft's SciTech building. I'm 22, just doing the freelance/starting-a-business thing rather than the college thing right now. I'd be happy to hang out with Tufts students doing NaNoWriMo, if you're cool with it.

I'm a recently graduated Jumbo, but I still live in the area (relatively). As I still harbor a fierce nostalgia for Tisch Library and other spots, I'm absolutely for on campus writing sessions.

Yes, wonderful, to all of you! The more the merrier! As an aside, do you happen to know any current Jumbos who might be interested? I'm trying to get together everyone on or near campus, but I can't seem to come up with an efficient way of reaching students.
I think that after there's been at least one Boston-area-at-large event, I'll start working on scheduling a Tufts-specific one, unless anyone else has some ideas.

A flyer near the library would probably catch some attention if it had the NaNoWriMo logo displayed prominently. If you can find even two more people, you could probably interest the Daily in writing a story about Tufts students doing NaNoWriMo, and get a plug in about other students wanting to participate should contact you for on-campus write-ins.

Jay--
Excellent idea! You can download flyers from NaNoWriMo at this link: http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/node/1005807
I'm fondest of the top one, but there are three choices to make. Please feel free to download and print these off, and place them where you think they would do the most good.
Cheers,

OK, the first round of flyer-posting netted one response, and lots of flyers on the ground :P I'll try again, with more flyers in more prominent places, this weekend and again as we get closer to the event. Can't wait!

Hi there!
I am of the Jumbo persuasion, first year and would be interested in storming the Tower for a writing Bonanza at some point.
Should we look into another round of flyers?

Hi Jumbos. Can I recommend a write in at Danish Pastry House. It's true the food isn't on points, but the atmosphere makes up for it. I've done a bunch of creative writing projects there and have loved it. Lemme know what you think.
