I'm pondering taking on even more work and responsibility this November by producing a podcast about our exploits and fun. Mostly, it would outline what's been happening at the write-ins, do check-ins with a few of you, and hopefully work as a bi-weekly peptalk for the people that can't make write-ins.

And here's where I would need help from ya'll: I think it would be awesome for me (or you) to read a 3-5 minute excerpt from what one of you wrote since the last podcast. Each cast would have an excerpt from someone's novel because content is awesome.

Anyone down with that?

I think perhaps that question is best asked after the first few days' worth of writing so we can properly evaluate how embarrassed we are by our prose. ;P

Possibly, but I will be too busy writing to do all the backend setup crap I'll need to do to create a podcast. :D Really, 2 or 3 people committing to sharing is all I need, though I'd certainly be open to more.

Well, I suppose I'd be game. I've embarrassed myself on stage often enough that voice only shouldn't be that bad. :)

That's a really cool idea. And if we don't feel like reading our novels, we could always talk about tips for reaching 50,000 and all sorts of other fun things. That's a really great idea, honestly.

FoCo, you guys rock.

Umm, sure. If I can let my mom read my writing I can probably post an excerpt in a podcast.

And it is a really cool idea.

I'm up for making it a regional thing, Skye.

Sorry for the double post, but I've been developing this idea in my head since posting.

Here's what I'm thinking:
It'll be called The NaNoWriMo Virtual Write-In.
There will be no more than 5 minutes of recap of the live write-ins.
There will be about 5 minutes of tips and tricks.
There will be 5-10 minutes of AudioNaNo Excerpt from a volunteer. I will read any excerpt that are submitted without the author wanting to read it themselves.
We will finish with a few minutes of pep talk.

I'm thinking three times a week.

Suggestions and comments welcome!

That sounds like a great idea, Crash! Hopefully I'll write something Podcast worthy this year! Can't wait to get back into it!

I'd be down for helping out. If I end up with anything worth sharing, I will.

I think a podcast sounds great. I'm willing to help, whether lending my voice, my microphone/software, or ??? - just let me know what you need/ want form your friendly MLs. :)

Nope. But I've got some nice equipment. Unfortunately, the computer that it was planned to set it up on was too slow. A nice mic, and ProTools. :)

I think a LoCoFoCo Polka would be awesome! Who here plays accordion?
