I'm partial to the ABC on Hendersonville Road, which has served as home base for the past two years, but that's primarily because it's walking distance for me. :)
Sundays are totally out for me, and afternoon/evenings are better in general. One thing to keep in mind is that handicap accessibility is a must, so some coffee shops with very tightly packed tables can be troublesome.

Assuming that Sundays are bad for everyone, we'll either be meeting Oct. 18 or 25 (both are Saturdays). Specific times that would work for you? I like the Atlanta Bread on Hendersonville Rd. Lots of space, handicap accessible, easy parking. Shall we name this the spot?

Since I know people have varying schedules, I will happily show up at 6pm. People could then show up after that when it's convenient for them. ABC closes at 9pm so keep that in mind.

I'm afraid I can't help you with a ride, but the 6 bus will take you practically to its doorstep (I think the stop is at the end of the block); I believe the 8 and the 14 also go pretty near it, but don't quote me on that. :)

I started a Meetup group today called NaNo in the Off-Season. It's free to register and join. Basically it will be a group to keep each other motivated in the 11 months between NaNos! Gah, sorry I didn't get ahold of anyone about rides sooner. Things got hectic. -_-;;; I'm at UNCA as I said. if anyone's planning to stop there, let me know. Most times work, and as long as I can easily get there from campus, most places are fine. ^^;
And I'll definitely be bringing my laptop, so chalk that up as another one needed.
