No distractions but this place and the mailing list. :)

I have a few ideas but no real notes. We will see how it goes.

Hey everybody!

I only have casting notes, everything else? I'm winging it. More than six stories in over six different fandoms leading up to one colliding point! Actually I'm not sure how many pairings, fandoms, and stories will begin the AU, but it's going to be quite a few. I'll probably be coming here for quite a bit of help, especially from you, Ryan! XD Since you looked over my NaNo from last year and pointed out some key weak points.

And sadly I have yet to finish or revise it, I always flush in shame when I look at it and see how much it sucks. *headdesk* What about everybody else? What's the status of your NaNo from last year?

T'is me again. *evil grin*

My NaNo from last year is actually still going, managed to hit the half way point with it word count wise *bounce*, and amazingly enough that muse is still talking to me.........sorta. If you want to read what's up it's at Twisting the Hellmouth under the CSI: Miami catagory as Lost Son Returned. *pimp pimp nudge nudge* *giggle*

As for this year's.......... It's weird. Back when I first started NaNo (2006) I had an idea to bring the anime FullMetal Alchemist into the Clan. Got 16,000+ words into it and it fell apart. But I was looking over it again a few weeks ago and the Ed!Muse said: "Hey, brainic, why don't you take us out of Sylum and then maybe we'll talk." So sadly I think that story is now a 31 page paperweight. *headdesk* Buuuut, I took the basic idea and completely revamped it so maybe I can get something done this year. I'm hoping for at least 30,000 words, just to beat my last count.

What about everyone else?

FMA in Sylum? Wouldn't the necesary changes to the characters to make them fit in with that reality remove a lot of the things that make them who they are? Unless one was extremely careful, the characters would end up hopeless ooc and turn into something completely diferant than the ones that FMA fans like me fell in love with. Sorry about that but I strongly believed that it needed to be said.

As for other things, under a diferant name I am an inactive (as in I haven't so much as posted once) member and I am quite happy to see that the Clan has set this up here. Maybe activity here will lead to not only my second NaNo win and for me to become more active within the Clan itself.

Actually pretty much the only major change I did to the characters was take away the alchemy........and Al's armor. The boys are still to smart for their own good, they still have Dante and the Sins after them, Ed still looses his arm and leg and gets them replaced with auto-mail, their mom still dies when they're fairly young and they take off so they still raise themselves. Mustang and crew still try to watch over them etc. etc. etc. I tried very hard not to OOC them to much and I know the alchemy was a *big* part of who they were but if it was *all* that they were then they wouldn't be nearly as beloved. Yes?

When NaNo's over with I plan to post what I have done somewhere, probably Twisting the Hellmouth, so you can come see how I did. Kk?

I didn't realize I helped you that much!

*snorts at my NaNo from last year* it died when school got in the way...

This year... it shall be better! Nothing overtly original... but I will be doing a massive research hunt a week before.....

I have a tentative idea for my NaNo fic.... but it's iffy..... I have to see if I can get the plot to flow right for me.....

*grins* but it will be a crossover! best way to get the biggest bang for my buck.

I just have to remember that I have to write everything down... and not leave out points that I think are "common knowledge"..... *sighs* much work this year....

What fandoms were you planning on for your crossover, Ryan?

All three CSI's..... Maybe NCIS...... BtVS..... Highlander...... SPN....... and the bunny is bouncing asking for more.....

*pouts* massive crossover......

*grins* but you should thank Dino for helping me! She made me see that characters chatting is a good thing! *blushes* she helped me revamp my writing style.... for when I'm not doing drabbles.....

What about you? What's your fic gonna be like?

LOL, yes you did and I appreciate it still!

Aww, hopefully the bunny comes back eventually.

I know what you mean, I still have episodes and stuff to rewatch before it starts.

Oooh, can we have a hint?

Power to the crossovers! Thank god I'm not the only one!

Oh I know, so much too write...so little time. Hopefully I won't be too busy after everything I started doing this month.

*pounces Rabble* Hi! *yanks lurker card* As I was told long ago when I found my card yanked, there are no lurkers in the Clan. If we find one we pounce them, yank their card and babble at them until they talk. *pauses and sits back to think* At least I think that's how that went. *happy shrug* Oh well, it was something like that and I think there were mentions of cookies at one point too but I'm not sure. *leans in and whispers* If you can't tell I'm a *little* hyper today. *cackle*

Anyway, welcome and good luck. *bounces away to keep working on notes*

*panics, flails, tries to grab lurker card back, gets distracted by cookies and falls over*

*points to a table on the other side of the room* The cookies are over there. Fairly decent selection too. *nibbles on a chocolate Andes mint chip cookie* As for talking on the yahoo list, what you do is you start talking on here first, that gets you used to us, then slow work your way up to the list. That's what I did anyway. And if someone like me who has Social Anxiety Disorder to the point of being nearly Agrophobic (terrorified of people) can do it so can you. *wags a finger with a teasing grin*

Glad to see you all here. This will be a good year.

So how are the plots and outlines coming for those who do them.
I tend to get a basic idea, if that. and the just let the story take me where it wants to go.
I have learned not to fight the story. You always lose.

I'm starting to get excited about NaNo after seeing the emails on Sylum. I am debating on writing a Number's sequel to my series or starting something new altogether - a Harry Potter (H/D) fic.. decisions, decisions..

This is my first time doing NaNo, and I have a few questions: Is it safe to assume that slash is OK here? Does anybody know about content or rating level (i.e., NC17/FRAO) matter?

Cheers

FMA? That would be awesome to add into the clan!

Also, are there any specific rules for NaNo? This is my first time attempting to write it, so I apologize if I sound a bit well, confused. ^_^;;

Oh, bad Ed!muse. But it'd be a bit tricky to explain his automail arm and leg as well as Al's suit of armor if the rules of alchemy aren't allowed in Sylum....

Yay, I found the craziness without too much hassle....just had to follow the noise

This is my first year at NaNo (yay?), so hopefully this goes well. Got my main characters, got my outline (sorta), hope no one gets offended at religionish stories. ::wince:: It's such a touchy subject. Ah well, you can't win them all. Enough of my babble...I'm going to hide now.

Changing my original plot idea COMPLETELY.......Um....I think Bob bit me with this one.......and not just because it's the fandoms' popular at the moment either....

Dark Knight/Iron Man (Most likely post-movie, not completely sure)

Have a few ideas in mind for the storyline, but I just seriously hope that I won't wind up pulling the story out of my ass halfway through..... (Pardon my language...)

Hey people,

Hopefully this year I can do better than last year and life doesn't get in the way. I even remembered to stock up on coffee this year so that I won't have to make any midnight runs when I'm working on a good part.

So let the writing begin...in 5days that is:)

*happy sigh*

I finally decided to do a slash-mystery-horror-thingy. Something like "The Amityville Horror" meets "Shining" meets "Romantic slash involving Numb3r's Ian Edgerton as a ghostbuster". *lol* This might become interesting.

Have fun everybody! :)

Well, I'm writing. *Grin* And the scary part is, this isn't the one I had intended to write. Haven Boys has once again decided to vacation somewhere a heck of a lot warmer than here for NaNo this year. Fortunately another bunny bit me that looks promising.........maybe. I'll let everyone know once I see if I can really get it rolling.
