Anyone else out here in Kitsap Co? Or do they generally jump into the Seattle group? It's my first time and I feel so alone...

Nah!
(: We come here!
There was a little group of us last year that did a couple write-ins. I don't know if the others are participating this year but I certainly hope so. I'd like to do some more write-ins.

I'm Kia, by the way~ Aha~

Hey Ginji~

I like browsing people's dA's...and I'm curious. What period did you have photography last year?

Well, looks like there's at least 3 of us, anyway. I have a feeling that I am probably older than your parents, though. ;)

That's okay! (: The first write-in last year, I was the youngest person in our little group there were...five of us in that write-in. But the next one, there were more of us [and I wasn't the youngest that time]. I'm hoping a couple of the people from last year decide to do it again this year. They were a really nice group.

I had it 2nd period, I'm pretty sure with you.
Somehow I can't pick your face out though...

Nah, I was in third period [I had to sit and think about it before I remembered that it was right before lunch].

My real name isn't Kia, by the way. It's Marissa, haha.

Marissa? Now why does that name too sound familiar?
Ugh, I need a plot. Or at least a story line...

I don't know, haha. Not exactly a common name, huh?

I...have a plot. I'm unsure about it, though, since it half involves an idea I'd started in on earlier this year. Not going to cheat and use previously written material, of course. Just snagged half the plot and a collection of the lovely cast.

But...I don't actually know what I want from it, which is an issue.

I have the beginnings of a plot.. for now, I'm focusing on world building, though.

Yay! More kitsap people.
This is my third year. I went to one write in last year, but none the year before.
Did anyone else see the table of books at Barnes and Noble about writing? They even put up the Nano symbol on their sign.
It's good they support us too, because me and friend have a table there we write at.

More people! (:

B&N was pretty cool about Kitsap's NaNo group sitting around there last year--well, the Starbucks was pretty cool about it. So long as we put the tables back when we were done, they didn't mind. We didn't actually sit in B&N, technically...

Those of us participating this year ought to do a couple write-ins. (: I know Olympic Coffee in Bremerton was pretty friendly with us last year but their tables are painfully small. There are plenty of other places we could go, though! B&N wouldn't be so bad, if everyone lives near enough.

I'm in Bainbridge Island! There's a lot of neat little coffee places here that will let you hang out and write and chat. I don't know how many write-ins I'll make it to, honestly, as I've got a 17-month old to wrangle. But write-ins are a ton of fun, so I'll probably try to make it to at least one.

Justmethinking, we can be old coots together. I sincerely doubt you're older than *my* parents. :D

I'm a Kitsapper. After all these years and all these participants from Kitsap, I wonder why we don't have out own group.

I'm from Kitsap too, also my first year.
So yeah. Howdy.
Are we doing write-ins at the B&N at the Kitsap Mall?

Another Islander...I did this in '06, skipped last year, think I'll try it again. I'm not a good write-in candidate, I have 2 kids, a small business, volunteer work, so it's hard to get away, but maybe for one at the end, if I'm getting close. I finished my 06 book at the bar at the waterfront Pub...

Hey! I'm from Silverdale... but right now I'm away at college. PLU in Tacoma. xD I go home pretty much every weekend though!
This is my first year doing this. Kinda nerve wracking. Hope I can do this thing!

Hi everyone! :DI know Kia and Ginji! (I have college with Kia, and Ginji.. I'm Jannah :D)
I did NaNoWriMo last year and won! Woo :D I'm debating about doing it again this year... I don't know if I'll have the time.. since I decided to do a lot of hard classes at high school and at college. But I have my own car/liscence now, and I really loved going into the write-ins! I'm in Bremerton, by the way. :P
My Nano this year will probably be drabble.. I was going to do sort of a fan fiction, but I'd like to totally rewrite my NaNo from last year, do a few stories.. And there's another plot I had bouncing around in my head, but its not quite big enough for 50k.

I'm a homeschooler on BI. Don't know where this time will come from - maybe bathing :) But if you want to do a mini-write-in on island, NK or Silverdale I would make it. Would even bathe first. My teen is doing young WriMos, and would likely enjoy writing with other teens if they're out there.

Hey Jannah! :D

You really should give it a shot this year! It would be fun to see you at write-ins!

I might wind up going to a couple Seattle write-ins this year, since two of my best friends are NaNo-ers and are in Seattle for college. But since the ferry back costs, I'd rather keep myself with more write-ins here. (:

Hi, writers!

Bremerton, Silverdale or Port Orchard are fine for me for write-ins; Poulsbo is a longer drive but if someone really wants to host them up there I will go a few times, at least, especially if it's a fun venue. Must have coffee (otherwise, zombie-like groans and staggering ensue).

Pleased to meet you.

I'm so glad there's a few of us out here, at least. And I'm glad there are a few of us over the age of consent. ;)
(Anyone else graduate high school before 1980? 1990?)

I think a write-in at B&N would be cool. The good thing about the mall is that it's easy to get to and everyone knows where it is. Not sure how many write-ins I could get to, but it might be fun to at least do one early on and one toward the end.

So what's everyone's genre? I've got an oddball sci-fi/urban fantasy/alternate history kind of thing going. No space ships or magic, but things happen in our world that don't really happen. (I hope they don't anyway!)

p.s. I learned yesterday that I can crank out 2K words in an hour if I'm on a roll. That was reassuring. Now as to whether I will be on a roll with my story, who knows?

Hey, if we do manage to set up some write-ins, I'll volunteer to set up the google calendar and send the dates to the Elsewhere ML. So let me know if you want to set up a get together.

I'm thinking a write-in could be as simple as 'Hey, I'll be at B&N at the mall at this date and time -- show up if you can.' What do you think?

I'm doing fantasy this year [I did...general last year].

As for write-ins...That would be really great if you could do that. (:

For early-on in November...xD I don't know that I can do anything the first couple days [mid-term time and I might be in Seattle the first day~] but I should be good elsewise.

I'm totally new here. Hi!

I've never done a WriMo yet, but I've known about them for a couple of years now. I'm afraid I'd be one of the ones who dips a toe in and FAILS UTTERLY to produce even a couple thousand words. But I can't stop thinking about it. I want to write a book!

I live in Bremerton. If there will be meetings in Kitsap County for writers, I would love to come. Even if I crash and burn, it would be nice to meet others who understood the madness...

Hi, I'm new to Kitsap, not so new to Nano although I'll admit that I've yet to win. Still have hopes for this year though. :)
