Let's see if this works. Frappr used to be pretty cool, but they went and merged or got bought by something called Platial which seems to be intent on making Frappr less useful.

Still, though, I went ahead and made a map for our region. Find it here. Sadly, I can't embed it in this post. :(

Anyway! Go ahead and make your mark on the map! That might even be kind of useful, sort of.

The map won't zoom in close enough to show the cities around Sacramento. All the pirate flag (?) icons will be piled on top of each other, along with Citrus Heights, Fair Oaks, West Sacramento, Rancho Cordova and other nearby areas.

It was a nice idea, though.

The zooming in worked fine for me... Maybe it's your computer?

I guess I'll have to blame my computer. The map lets me zoom in about 3/4 of the wat to maximum, which separates the major subdivisions, but it won't remain at that point. It constantly flips back to the orange line, which must be average magnification--or it goes all the way out and shows most of the western U.S.

In addition to not holding steady on the zoom, after a few times of sliding it around to get to my area, either it zooms back out, or it "sticks" to the pointer and refuses to move. I can drag the pointer off the map, circle around, and drag it again, but after a few times (and always before I get to the spot I want), when I move the pointer back onto the map, it acts like the pointer is a magnet anf flips back to the place where the pointer left it, ot even the move before, or zooms out.

VERY Frustrating!

I give up. I do not need this sort of a problem.
