I go to a public school in Henderson County... namely East.

In the spirit of "everyone else should suffer with me", Friday I taped up NaNoWriMo posters all over the school (with permission, of course).

The plan... which me and two other participants from my school have cooked up in our sick minds - is to have a few after-school writing meetings, to hash out plots and characters and all those things. And check each other's spelling. :)

So... my question is... anyone else in high school in the area doing NaNoWriMo?

If there are other participants from other schools, we _might_ be able to host these gatherings at the Public Library, so everyone could attend.

*smacks self* No posters up at the public library! I have failed at life!

We fail together! I'm in the same predicament but for my writing workshop. x_x I'm curious - what are your NaNo posters like? It would be a good idea to post something like that at libraries across Asheville!

I go to West, currently.
I could definitely talk to the principal about putting up posters, and even cozying up to the Lit Mag club for it too.

just the standard poster with tear-off tags that nanowrimo provided so helpfully...
the tags have the website on them, and the poster itself has a short explaination.

thankfully our principal had already heard of it. besides which, for no fathomable reason, he likes me.

what club is it again?

we don't have any clubs at east i could refer it back to, so it will have to be a temporary sort of thing.

definitely talk to english teachers about it, if you can, because several of the teacher i talked to said, "Oh, my creative writing/AP english/whatever students would love that!"

*grumbles* darn west, and their superior athletics....

Our football team sucks like crazy this year.
