Here's the part where you, my lovely nano, bring us to your neck of the woods!

Our locals are:

Cosi (West Hartford)
Starbucks (Manchester, Farmington, Plainville, and more!)
Barnes and Noble (Manchester, Waterbury, Canton)
Flatbread (Canton)
Borders (Newington, by the mall)

There are some others I missed but as you can see, most of these meets are in a 45 minute or so radius. There are plenty of us willing to move outside the usual places.

Speak up and share your locations*!

(*a location is a real name, street address, something. Not "this fun place in my town" because I can't get directions, phone numbers, or anything else)

Adds:
Panera! (Canton, Bristol, Waterbury)
(950 Wolcott St
Waterbury, CT 06705
(203) 753-8344)

Some of these are actually pretty close to me. Hmm.

I would say to dump B and N if you do Waterbury, in favor of Panera. Not only is their food yummy, but they have free internet. B and N does not.

I live in Mansfield. I'd like to go to meetups that are not too far away

There's one near me in Waterbury, and the Shoreline gang has been known to infiltrate the one in the Town Line Plaza in Meriden (actually, Chrissy and I meet there year round - for writing, of course, not just to eat yummy salads and dish like a couple of old yentas with potatoes baking on hot bricks beneath our skirts - but I digress).

Okay Zombie Boy!, waterbury Panera added to the list.

Karen, any information about possible locations in your area? Naturally we'd all like a short drive. Can you suggest a place?

Well, technically I am affiliated with the Shoreline hooligans, but if you can get people interested in a Waterbury meeting, I will come out to it.

PS: I was Faust the past three years. Trying something a little new this time around.

There's a Starbucks right off campus at UConn (Mansfield) that could be a good place to meet. I don't think it has free wi-fi though. The meetup doesn't have to be in my town naturally, I'm just hoping it won't be more than a few towns away :)

You don't have to add that location to your list if you don't want, just put another vote down for Manchester that's close enough for me.

I could go to all of the locations that you've mentioned except for Waterbury - that's too far away for me.

Manchester is the best for me. I vote Barnes and Noble!

Manchester usually is a pretty good turn out. I'd be glad to add the Mansfield Starbucks to the list. Do you know if there are any other nanos on campus? If we can get a good group going out there, it would be a great way to bring in some new group members.

Any interst in papering your school with lovely Nano flyers?

Since Busses come to Foxwoods I'm posting this on a few of the surrounding areas.

I know it's a rather odd concept, but taking a bus to Foxwoods might be an option for some (just think you can write on the bus) Come feel the wonder of ... writing!

Ok.. I'll pitch this out there.

KICK OFF PARTY

Food Court/Panera at Foxwoods

I'm not an english major so I don't know any other writers. I've been trying to tell people about it, but so far I don't know any other nano people at uconn.

I've thought about putting up flyers. What would the flyer say? Maybe if we decide on a location and time we could say that for anyone interested.

By the way, have we decided on a place/date/time for the kick off party? I haven't been on the region forums in a few days.

Manchester and South Windsor areas are best for me. I'm hoping to make it to more meetups this year (remember me from 2 years ago?), but my schedule is crazy so they're going to have to be fairly close to home.

Looking forward to seeing you again and meeting some new friends too!

I live in Rocky Hill, there is a Starbucks there on Cromwell Ave.

Or there is another Starbucks (larger) in downtown Newington.

I will get the addresses, if anyone is interested in those locations.

Rocky Hill!

I live near there, too!

But while the Starbucks is close by, I much prefer the atmosphere at Panera Bread; there are convenient locations in Newington (on the Berlin Turnpike, in the same plaza as Wal-Mart, Applebee's and Staples) and Glastonbury (along Main Street, almost directly across from the library).

All of those locations are ... good, but no-where near me. :(

Torrington? Paneara? Sundays or Fridays? Anybody interested?

I would go to the end of the earth for you guys, but my mummy won't take me. :(

And I can't drive.

T_T Dying for a write-in! E-mail me if you're interested.

This is Emma from last year, if anyone remembers me - I'm in Simsbury, so I'm good for West Hartford, Canton, etc. Luna, I might be able to do Torrington, if you're desperate...unless anyone can do the Simsbury Starbucks? That's a nice place to write, if anyone's interested in meeting up there!
