Hi again!

If you’ve read the “Events” post, then you’ve come here out of curiosity, if you haven’t then you were caught by my super unoriginal title.

Either way, thanks for looking.

As we all know money and gas have been sort of an issue (not to go into a discussion on that, as I believe there is a forum dedicated to those and various other issues that inspire debate)

However, I completely understand the desire to avoid travelling long distances for events. I also know that our region’s participants tend to be a bit spread out. Because of this (and my possible work needs), the events I have planned so far are more centrally located than before.

Now I don’t want anyone to feel left out or neglected so if you don’t/can’t travel out to Henrietta for the events, but still want to meet up with fellow wrimos, give me a heads up of where/when you’ll be and I will add it to the calendar. If I have the time off, I’ll show up with my bag-o-swag and ridiculous shirt. If it is a spur of the moment thing, just make a post letting everyone know.

If you’ve got tons of free time and want to make a set meetings schedule for your neck of the woods—I will make sure to get you any extra swag I have so that you too can bribe people with stickers!

Thanks!

I could probably schedule something for the East side folks. I don't drive, so transportation is tough for me. I am within walking distance of Fairport which has some nice places for meet ups, Fairport Village coffee being one of them. My Saturdays and Sundays are usually free, as are my evenings.

Question, would it make sense to start a thread for people who are interested in meet ups so they can list where they are, how far they can travel, and what day/times would be good for them?

Thanks so much!

A meet-up thread sounds good, I'll get to that in just a second. I really want to make sure that people have the chance to at least attend one event if they would like to.

I live in Perry. We have a great book store here and they allow for meetings for writing, business and all sorts of things. They also give out free coffee to groups if we choose to have something there. If anyone is from this area, I would be happy to set something up with Ann! I'm in the bookstore everyday any way. They also have free wireless if anyone would like to work while we were there. I don't drive but it's within walking distance, right on main street. If there is an interest, I would love to help out.

Best of Luck,
Mari
