Hello again everyone!

I'm putting together our calendar of events, and have several places already mapped out. It's been recommended to aim for 2 official meet ups a week, and that's what I'm aiming for right now, in addition to the Kick Off Party and the TGIO Party!

So far for suggestions I have:

Southbury Starbucks
New Milford Starbucks
Watertown Starbucks
New Canaan
Litchfield
Torrington

There's a few places I'm waiting on to get back to me that should be good as well, and I'll list them as soon as they're confirmed.

All confirmed dates will be posted on the Region's Calendar of Events. Also if anyone else organizes a meet up, let me know and I'll add it! (If you've been discussing it here on the forums, I should catch it and add it, but if you don't see it after a day or so poke me and I"ll get it up!)

I will have info on the Kick Off party up this week...don't worry, I will make sure it doesn't conflict with the Shoreline Party!

I hope everyone had a great weekend!

I don't think there's ever been a NaNo presence in my little middle of nowhere. The fact that you're even suggesting it as a possible meetup location nets you automatic bonus points of awesomeness in my book.

We too have a Starbucks (who doesn't anymore) right next across from the train station. There's several public parking lots one "block" away and have free parking on weekends. Our Starbucks is comparatively small inside, but has a decent sized outside sitting area, with a few outlets if I remember correctly (I'll have to check)

Another suggestion would be the Stamford Mall - Cosi's, which has a 2 floor B&N right across from it. Excessive parking, easy to get to from I-95, or the train. They have wi-fi, not sure about outlet availability. (Will also check)

That's all I got for now, if I get any more ideas, I'll pass them on.

I'm pretty sure Cosi's falls on the Shoreline meet up list, I know Lizzie is also working on that calendar of events, and for anyone who's close enough I encourage going!

I've called and badgered every Starbucks in the above listed towns and I'm waiting on some official type replies, but I expect that they'll be given to me soon (if for no other reason than they may be sick of me calling every day!)

Waterbury Barnes & Nobles at the Brass Mill Center is a pretty solid spot for meet-ups, and has a nice Starbucks in it. So once you chase out the chess players, its a good size. :p

Torrington's got a Panera, and there's a little coffee place on Main street I keep hearing about, but I've never been.

There's a nice Panera in Waterbury, with internet access and lots of plugs.

We've got The Landmark Cafe in Manchester, and a Starbucks here as well. There's always Panera bread, too!

Well...I was looking at the calendar...

The problem with being all accomplished at way too early in the morning is silly things are done, like scheduling a Write In on Thanksgiving...

So the second Torrington Meet Up is now the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. *grins*

x D

I wouldn't want to have to miss a T-Town meetup, cuz' you know, there'd really be no excuse >.>

Is there going to be a "last push" meetup for the night of the 30th? I find it helps if you're way behind to have some encouragement around. (year 3 I wrote nearly 7,000 words before 11:00)

All these places are about an hour+ away from me, which wouldn't be a problem if gas wasn't so expensive/my parents were actually willing to drive me around. I may be able to make only one of them(I also have school, so during the week is a no-no), two if I'm lucky. One day I'll have my own car and a job and then I'll make all the write-ins. :D Doesn't matter, even one meet-up will probably be a nice kick in the pants for inspiration.

Here's hoping to see you guys soon~!
