I just moved here as well - I'm very excited about the upcoming NanoWriMo season!

Pity . . . I used to live there. I miss it.

Welcome eastwind721! I'm loving Florence; it's so much better than living in Philadelphia. Where did you move from?

I notice you just joined in August - is this your first NaNoWriMo?

I'm originally from Milwaukee Wisconsin, but the pace of life here is so different. I live out in the country and I'm still having trouble getting used to everything being so far away. I'm actually trying to a get a job in Florence right now (and not doing so well at that...) but I'm in town quite often because of college.

Actually, I couldn't access my old account because my old email was deleted when we moved (the server/company was in WI), so I had to sign up again. This is my third year, and hopefully it will be my second win ;)

Wow, I can't believe there are others here! I'm a third year Wrimo (and hopefully a first time winner) from Florence. I know of three friends from here that are participating also. Good to see we have some neighboring support!

Hooray for more Florence Wrimos! I was beginning to think there were only two of us here. I broke down and joined the Columbia region out of desperation, but maybe we could get our own little mini-region going here as well. I loved going to write-ins when I lived in Philly, but I wasn't really looking forward to going all the way to Columbia for them. Especially not when there's a perfectly good Barnes & Noble right here in town...

Please count me in for the Florence region. I'm a first time Wrimo. I've lived in Florence for about 11 years now. I write for the local paper in good ol' Flo-town. I've got a bit of a late start here (the election has been keeping me pretty busy), but I'm determined if nothing else. Please wish me luck, I'm sending some out to all the other Florentines out there. Best of luck!

Good luck jamied! Welcome to NaNoLand! I know it might be short notice, but I'm having a sort of unofficial write in tonight at Barnes & Noble. (Unofficial only because I'm not an ML and won't have any of the cool ML stuff like stickers and such and it might just be me sitting there writing. But I will have Laffy Taffy, so all will be well.) You're more than welcome to join me.
