Hehe, how about Saturday? A combination kickoff of sorts and a chance to meet fellow students/NaNo writers? Perhaps just outside or at the Stomping Grounds in Memorial Union?

I won't be here saturday, but if you guys want to do that, that would be great. We could also do one in the middle of the month too some night.

Okay. Should I make a Facebook group or something? Just in case there's writers who aren't checking the forums, or see if anyone else might wanna sign up tomorrow and join us. :)

Is this a Grand Forks thing or a UND thing? I'd be interested in meeting up with other authors, but I'm not at UND.

We could go to the University Book Store. Say around... 1? I think it'd be a great way to hang out and swap ideas/get feed back.

@sylverflames: It can most certainly be a GF thing, not just UND
And meeting at the bookstore sounds great. Barnes & Noble isn't too far of a walk from here, maybe five minutes or so. Should we pick a particular section so we're not all wandering around asking everyone in sight who's a NaNo participant? :)
(By the way, if anyone happens to be out and about tonight and sees a (really bad) Axel from Kingdom Hearts video game costume...That's probably me.)

Why don't we try to meet every Saturday? That way everyone can make it to at least one or two.
I'm in a very organizational mood this semester, so if I get annoying somebody stop me. :)

I'm headed to the book store now. I'm in the Black UND hoody, and I'll probably be in the cafe thingy until someone else gives a better suggestion?

Hey yall,
I'll probably be at the UND campus book store (Barnes and Noble) at around 1ish if anyone cares to join me. Even if you're not a UND student it'd still be awesome to come. Feed back is feed back, so let's rock it.
Hope to see yall there.

Hey, the website is finally loading at decent paces...
I may or may not join you. I fell behind during the week so I might stay up late trying to get things going now that I have a solid plot. :) So I might wind up sleeping in.

Hey everyone, how's the writing going? I'm not from UND either, although I went there from 1982-91 (yes, nine years). I had signed up for NaNoWriMo, then too many things began cropping up (talks I had to give in Fargo and Montana, my ten-year-old son's sudden need for a be-dazzled Elvis costume for his 5th grade program, an impromptu visit from my parents, etc.) I figured I was just going to have to bag the NaNoWriMo idea, but eighteen hours after it started I found a little time to at least write something, and then, following a four day hiatus (Montana), I got back to it. Now I figure if I write a minimum of 2000 words a day I can still finish. Wish me luck for the next 18 days!

I'll be up at Barnes and Noble this afternoon, maybe somewhere around two p.m. if anyone's interested in meeting up. I'll probably have some sort of winter hat on and a pink/red striped sweatshirt. I have glasses. I don't really know the Barnes and Noble well, so I don't really know where to meet up with people, but hopefully, I'll see some of you there!

I would drive up there to mill about Barns & Noble with you, but alas I must sleep. Can be there in spirit though? Maybe whilst I sleep I can project myself up there - just so long as I still get my rest.
Conversely you could come down here and mill about our Barns & Noble (of which your assuredly more familiar)...but preferably on a day I don't work... ;)
Cheers

Do I know you? Your name is the same as one of my old friends from Fargo that I never see any more. He had a son about a year and a half ago, I lost his number, and I haven't spoken to him since. I didn't really have a way of contacting him. :(
Sorry if you're not him! It's probably just a coincidence, but I thought I'd take the chance.

Us Levons are rare beasts...so your chances are pretty good!
Indeed it is I. It's a good thing you lost my number because it doesn’t work anymore..well it works, but a very confused woman answers. I'd post the new one up here, but I'd rather not have it google-able (N.B. Intelligent single women please feel free to send copious NaNoMail). To be fair I have only recently re-acquired a cell phone out of necessity (not terribly fond of them).
If everything works out, worse case scenario, you should be able to call Stacey and have her pound on her ceiling (as in an odd twist I will likely be her upstairs neighbor).
I'll shoot you a pm with the ## though!
Maybe we can organize something GMT friendly...(btw, were you down for Halloween?)
