Hi everyone!

I am Anni and I am your Municipal Liaison for the year!

I live right in between LaPorte and Michigan City Indiana so a lot of the events will take place here or in the Valpo/Merriville area. (Sorry to people that live out side that area, but with the cost of gas + school +job + family commitments, I have had to limit my time)

Look for a post soon about the Kick off party (I am thinking Saturday the 1st at Panera Bread in Valparaiso.)

Let me know if you have any other ideas

Peace and Love!

Anni

Hello again Anni! I'll try my best to make it to the meetings again as they happen, hopefully this year will be a better one for me than last year although I am quite busy already.

I'm in the Notre Dame region, which apparently is going to fall under your jurisdiction this year. I applied to be an ML, but the higher-ups in their infinite wisdom realized I was INSANE to try it with a newborn and not having "technically" won last year. SO, I am available to assist you in any MLing that needs to be done in this neck of the woods (gas being what it is and all). I am actually quite experienced in kicking writerly behinds, having run a writer's group for a while. My Penalty Pig is hungry for underachievers.

Let me know if there's anything I can do on this end, because I almost guarantee I won't make LaPorte County events (unless they are Mondays through Wednesdays and small, adorable babies are invited). Perhaps I can help set things up on my end.

Howdy. I'll try to make it, to the kick off party, but it's hard for me to get a ride to Valpo, but I'll see what I can do. We've only got one car working right now. So I'll keep my opinions to myself about any get togethers but work very hard to get to at least one this year.

Hello All!

I live in Nappanee, somewhat close to Notre Dame. I 'might' be able to make it to Valpo on the first, we'll see.

I currently teach high school English, assist with the English Academic team, am an avid reader of YA fiction and Christian speculative fiction, write in my spare time, which isn't hardly any at all, and cart my two elementary-age daughters around to their activities.

I'm looking forward to a valid excuse to write my heart out this year!

Hope to get to know everyone!

Kel

Hi everyone! Just thought I'd poke in here to remind/announce to people like Kelgirl (and anyone else who's interested!) that Notre Dame has a moderately active NaNo region too, and it's not just for students! People from southwestern Michigan, Elkhart, Goshen, South Bend, Mishawaka, Granger, etc., tend to meet up in South Bend/Mishawaka/Granger several times during the month. The main gathering places have been on Notre Dame's campus, at the Barnes and Noble in Mishawaka, and Bella Vita Cafe in Granger.

Best of luck to everyone writing this year!

Hi :)

I wish I could come and see everyone but I have run away to Mississippi with my family! I hope that everyone has a great year and that the writing juices will flow easily for everyone!

I will just add my hello back to everyone.
I can't say I can attend meetings or gatherings depending on when they are (I work afternoons and Saturdays) ...so we shall see.

BTW, for anyone who is hankerin' for success, my nano efforts from 2 years ago did yield me the services of a literary agent.

As the song goes, I found a driver and that's a start.

It is nice to know that I'm not the only crazy person in the state who is doing this! I'm in Chesterton, so I will try my best to make it to the write in there. I'm so excited about doing this and actually giving it a real shot!

Oh, so you think us mad, huh?
Mad?

We simply see the world from an enlightened perspective. T'is those who live a fool's existence who are mad.
They, upon following us, will soon receive the necessary guidance to pull them from the abyss of mundanity.
Mad, no, not us, Lady Luck.

You shall soon see.

I am having a open kickoff party if anyone is intrested.
I am suggesting a day long kick off event at Panera Bread in Valparaiso.
I'm thinking very open ended. Show up when you can, stay as long as you can.
I plan on being there pretty close to when the place opens till probably around lunch time, maybe latter who knows...
I know there is a few people who are intrested in meeting at 6:00, and some others who have to work at night. So maybe this will work out best for everyone. We'll be easy to recognized, We'll be the ones typing furiously...

So if your intrested in meeting with a bunch of other wanna be writers. Feel free to come out.

Hi,

I'm Mari and I live in Hammond, so I don't know if this is the right region for me. I work in Chicago (seven days a week) and I don't know how many--if any-- events I could attend but I wanted to contribute to the Indiana NaNo energy.

If I've got the right group, please sign me up!

Hmmm . . . would you guys be averse to having a kid at write-ins? I'm thirteen, but I consider myself pretty cool. ;)
