So, there are eight of us in the region so far. I'm in Stormstown. How about everyone else?

And yay for having our own forum.

Wow. Centre County is moving up in the world. Or in the Nano world anyways.

State College, here. Not a student, though.

Hello! It's so cool for us to have our own region this year! I live in Spring Mills :D and work in State College. I have done NaNo for the past two years. I won my first one and and lost last year. It was rough! I had a hard time making time as well as my computer kept having bugs. This year, I have a lovely new computer and I'm hoping to join in more of the NaNo activities. My novel will be a fantasy. I have two in mind and I'm not sure yet which one I'm going to do. :sigh: I need to decide here quickly so that I can get my background and character info decided on.

Gotta love Nano!

Hey everyone, Anna here. It's my first year doing nanowrimo, though I've listened to various friends of mine suffer (gloriously) through November for a long time. I'm in Boalsburg, so huzzah.

I think I'm really looking forward to this year, though I'm not doing a fantasy genre like my first NaNo novel was. Actually, my last one was a fantasy/super-hero type hybrid story. So in my third year, I'm doing a fanfic like thing based on the DC comic universe, but rather alternate universe and is written from the pov of one of the villains, who is rather AU from the original character in that she's really a he in the comics.

Don't plan on publishing it at all, just want to have some fun this November instead of doing a SERIOUS BUSINESS story.

As to why it's not fantasy, but still superhero, I kinda cut a lot of the whole superhuman, magical crap out of my AU.

I'm looking forward to meeting you all!

Yay! I'm actually doing fantasy this year too. It shall be an adventure. The last few years I've done scifi.

Another State College person here, not a student!

This is my fifth year doing NaNo, if I should decide to to it. My 6 month old boy will decide! Actually, he loves it when I am typing on the computer while he's in my lap, so maybe this will work out.

Jim here, I am from state college as well, but a student.
I am surprised to see how few students are here, I mean we should be more involved with these things. But oh well. This is my first attempt at Nanowrimo and I hope to make it a good one.

Maybe you can even let him type a few words! Keysmashing by babies should totally add towards total wordcount.

Aaronsburg, but I work at the University. I'll be out of town the first weekend, so I'll be kicking off somewhere in Erie County.

I'm in State College, and not a student (more like a parent of a student). My daughter and grandson are visiting through November 7, and I've got deadlines for work during that first week. After that, I should have lots of time to dedicate to writing.

Hi TeacherPerson! :-)

Hi everyone. My name is Sam and this is my second time attempting NanoWrimo. Last year I tried to do it when I was overseas, but I had computer access issues and then my story got deleted accidently! But this year I hope to actually accomplish a little more than I did in my first attempt, although now I am currently a university student and getting a job. So I don't know what to expect from this year.

Hey! I'm a noob here, this is my first year trying. I'm from Bellefonte. A lot of people I know online do this, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I'm totally screwed when it comes to ideas. I've got two, but neither are really developed enough. And one is lame. I'm not good with writing long things, so I don't know how well this will go. But I'm also a pessimist. Haha

Awesome! I was terrible at writing long things when I first did Nano. November is still the only month I can get anything longer than 5 pages pulled together. Glad to have you with us! If you need help coming up with any ideas, just drop me a line. I'm more than willing to help ya out.
