Any people in Ames or ISU students planning on writing a novel this November?

I am!

Mearn4d10 and Arsvulpes will be hosting write-ins on Saturday evenings at Panera's in Ames. I just gave a "21 Days to a Novel" presentation last night at the Guild of Roleplayers and Wargamers meeting, so if you'd like to be in on those writing exercises, let me know. It's a 20-day outline system that gets you ready for NaNoWriMo.

I'd like to go but I'll be out of town on the weekends to visit family and do other similar things. I've already started to write a few pages just to "wet my lips" and get back into the groove of writing again. This is my second year I have written, but this time I intend to start on time and I plan to finish!

All right! I love the Panera idea... if only I had a laptop. Perhaps I'll be old-school notebooking it that day... =D

I'm a stater! I get to have a late start tho' - I have family obligations through the 4th of november....which means late start and an extra 335 words per day.

I'd love to do the panera's thing....but I have an unfortunate food intolerance involving wheat, combined with no self restraint, so that's a no-go.

Sitting around and writing on a Saturday night? What about those of us who have lives?

. . .

Just kidding. I might show up.

For anybody who doesn't also check the Central Iowa forum, there will be a midnight kick-off write-in at the Ames Perkins tomorrow night (Halloween) from 11p.m. until 1a.m.

I plan to come in costume.
