Do you have a certain play list you listen to when you write?

Do you create play lists for your WIPs (works in process)?

Enlighten me! I'm curious to see what others are listening to.

I like to use a mix of fast and slow music. Currently, I have Disturbed, NIN, Coheed and Cambria, AC/DC, and OffSpring on my writing play list. I think I might be creating a WIP play list once I'm sure which story idea I'll be tackling.

Ooh, your playlist sounds a lot like mine.

Every year for NaNo and SoCNoC, I make a custom playlist that reminds me of my characters--I can't write without noise, be it the TV in the background or music blasting at me. In fact, the battle scene I just wrote for creative writing class was based largely on listening to Metallica's 'One'. Yay pacing!

Right now, my playlist consists of Disturbed, Breaking Benjamin, Nine Inch Nails, Tool, Slipknot, Godsmack, and some less well-known bands like Assemblage 23, Rammstein, VNV Nation, and Angelspit. There's more on there, but you get the general idea. ^^ Basically, my pacing changes with the speed of the song I'm listening to. I think it's largely a subconscious thing, but it works. So I do gear my playlists to what I'm writing, and in turn, the scenes I write end up influenced by my music.

Depends on how I feel at the time, honestly. I write to a lot of Jimmy Buffett, but then I also range off into the celtic punk, too. My playlist includes Flogging Molly, the Pogues, the Dropkick Murphys, Black 47, and the Tossers.
