Most Tuesdays in Nov a small group of us meet at Barnes N Noble on Rainbow. Starting Oct 22 (not tonight and not next tues) I know of at least 2 of us who are meeting, please come by. I am usually there by 630, others after 7 or 730P so please stop by, have a coffee, a brownie and talk Nano plans, make friends, laugh at the people in the coffee shop. Just have a good old time.
If you need directions, let me know. I can't wait to see old friends and meet new ones!!!!

Tuesday nights are almost perfect for me ("Almost" because come on! Dancing with the Stars!), and the location is convenient enough to make me feel guilty for not showing up this year. The last week of October I'll be in Disneyland, but I could easily show up any of the other weeks!
Uh, out of curiosity, did you mean the 21st? The 22nd is a Wednesday. XD

As my workplace has just changed my schedule rather dramatically, I may still make one Tuesday meeting... but for the first time in better than five year, I find myself, to my utter shock, with my weekends free from 4am saturday morning through 10pm Monday night.

I'm taking a break this evening (10/21) from non-stop campaigning to pop in at B&N on Rainbow at 6:30pm. Hope to see a lot of the online folks there. Do we need tacky nametags to write our handles on? If so, I can bring some that I use for a MeetUp.com group I organize. I'll also bring the leftover T-shirt from Nano 2007. If anyone wants to buy it for $10, I'll donate to whatever fundraising we are doing, or maybe we can just raffle it off and put the proceeds in the kitty for future events.
I had 57 unread posts from this group in my email this morning. Aren't we prolific? Hope it lasts through November. Can't help but see lots of connections in the Roll Call... I grew up in South Bend, Indiana (lots of MidWesterners here) and I lived half my life in Tokyo, Japan (no, not military... I was in advertising most of that period and later did a stint with TIME magazine).
Looks like a lot of fun folks to spur us all to keep writing to the bitter end (or happy end if that's your wont). May I suggest that for a group challenge this year we all try to work the same minor character into every story? I'm not going to suggest the name or any distinguishing characteristics here ... if you like the idea, please toss your thoughts out. Maybe it's something we can discuss in person this evening, kinda like the vampire idea last year.
