Hi getaclewis, I'm not from Mentone but I've been there a few times. My brother bought some property up there a few years ago and built a cabin on it. I'm hoping to go up there late November but it depends on how things are looking by then. It's very beautiful there. I'm envious. Welcome to NaNo!

Oh, yay, Mentone! I'm from Fort Payne. I'm in Birmingham now, but I get back up that way every now and then. Was just up there last week, in fact.

Did you make it up to your brother's cabin to view the spectacular Fall this year? One of the best I can recall... congrats on your word count so far! This didn't turn out to be my year, since I have an insanely long client edit going on right now...
