MikeyCam here and on DPOF.

Sorry but as of yet I still don't have a clue as to what I really want to write this year. So I'll have to come back to update later. I just wanted to check in here and tell everyone hi!

Favorite DP episodes: Reign Storm, Fanning the Flames, Shades of Grey, Memory Blank, Control Freaks,...actually I like pretty much all of them.

Favorite show characters: Danny, Sam, Tucker, Valerie and Jack. Villians: Vlad (of course), Phantom (also a given), Walker and Nocturne (I liked his voice.)

Favorite colors: Blue and Red.

Currently reading: Homework and lab journals. Not so much fun but it still has to be done.

Hey Mikey, welcome! ^_^

Have you tried checking any of the dare threads or adopt-a-something threads? Maybe you could find an idea for a story there?

As for your question Transience: Nah I'm really not stressed yet. Not any more than usual anyway (I'm always at least a little stressed about everything it seems, lol ^_^;)

Aw... you too, Mikey? 'Cept I'm actually ignorin' the stuff though I know I should be readin' them. xD My mind's completely on NaNo at the moment, and even if I wasn't doin' it this year, my mind would be on my story. It won't leave me alone! Even now, I was tryin' to read something for Eng Comp II and BAM!, TJ decides to bother me with more of his 'problems' with balancin' high school and an alter-ego. And I just growl back, "Welcome to the club!" >.<

And thus, does that answer you question, Transience? *sheepish grin* College has me stressed, not NaNo. Writin' my story = fun. College = Bleh.

I'm the opposite, evilgenius. Well, sort of. I'm only going to tech school right now, not full-on college. But I'm actually more stressed out about my story than my class. Mostly because I still haven't decided which plot to use, which means I can't outline it. Which spells disaster for next month for me.

But it's good none of you guys are worried about it!

I'm not sure what all I'm goin' to do for my NaNo just yet. I've never been good with gettin' all the details out beforehand, so I just get the 'big' picture done and work form there. I prefer to 'wing-it' the rest of the way since I'm never sure what mischief my characters want to get into. xD But since I've had this idea on my mind for almost three years, it'll be nice to finally get it on paper. ^^

And school's just hectic. I'm takin' 18 hours, and hate to write academic papers. >.> They bore me to near tears. This is the only thing I have to look forward to at the moment.

Hey! Someone called me by name! I must be seriously popular. Strange. Well, I'm here. But unlike DPOF, I won't post nearly as much here. Meep?

Name: I'm Dennis Dunjinman. That's my pen name from the Thy Dungeonman games. My real-life name can be loosely translated to meant "Queen of Pearls (actually Great Queen of Pearls)" but that doesn't relate to me at all, so Dennis stays.
Name on forums: Also Dennis Dunjinman.
This year's novel: Snow Storm. Can't think of a good title, so the lame one sticks.
Genre: Action/Adventure (and surprisingly not science-fiction this time!)
Brief synopsis: Alternate timeline. If Vlad didn't lock the Sarcophagus of Forever Sleep and Danny lost, a new timeline results. Vlad gets locked in one of Pariah's dungeons and Danny, in the wrong place at the wrong time, gets caught up in a second campaign as Pariah Dark sets his sights on the InfiMap, which Danny must help protect from falling into the wrong hands at any cost.
Favorite DP episode: Hard to play favorites. So instead of my "favorite", I"m going to pick an episode farthest from it. Urban Jungle, for the "Most Improved by Dennis" award, deserving because it took two years for Dennis to retract unforgivable statements against it and write her former alternate timeline story to correct it.
Favorite show character: Do I still have to choose? Aw. Namely, Dennis is one of the Character Support Group people and really can't play favorites because she supports the characters people like the least for random reasons. Meep?
OTP: It's obviously Jack and Maddie. What's all this teenage shipping you've got going on when it's clear the adults have been married for 18 years and still love each other?
Favorite color: I find beauty in all colors, but subconsciously, I'm attracted to the color of Felucian pitcher plants. It's a greenish form of blue.
Currently reading: Lord of the Rings. She's tried several times, and she really, really, should read it. She also wants to read Coruscant Nights II: Street of Shadows and Republic Commando: Order 66.

So... what sort of funtivities are going on in NaNo?

Well, I finally decided to use an old skeleton outline and about two or three paragraphs of pretty much character description to work on NaNo this year. It'll be about the first character I ever created for a story-Mikey. I haven't "visited" Mikey in years and I kind of wonder what she's been up to lately.

Guess November will my chance.

And Kiki- thanks about the dare thread. It helped me decide and I signed up for a few. (Should make life interesting).

And Rebel- I feel your pain.

Popping in!

Name: A. Poptosis
Name on forums: errr...Apoptosis
*FIRST* novel: (mock title) Biological Guardian
Genre: Fantastical anthology
Brief synopsis: In this current universe (ie, our lives), a relatively unknown species exists among humans and every eight or so years, one of them is assigned to directly interact with them, becoming their Guardian. This Guardian not only has to protect her humans' well-being, but has to learn that her well-being (more importantly, her self esteem and identity) needs the same care too.
Favorite DP episode: My Brother's Keeper, Maternal Instincts, Shades of Gray
Favorite show character: Wulf!
OTP: OTP? Well, if everyone put couple, then hmm. Jack & maddie and--the Box Ghost and Lunch Lady. Besides the obvious sign in their future, I can imagine the Lunch Lady being smitten by the silly guy.
Favorite color: mahogany
Currently reading: no novels, but comics and art books

OTP means "One True Pairing". But when it comes to being a non-shipper who asks "What's love got to do with it?" with most pairings because she believes in pheremones (which somehow don't work on her), she'll pick the pairing that already showed sucess, not the one we just guess on and hope works out.

So how are you guys getting ready for NaNoWriMo? I have a list of topics to work on and expanded on a few of them. Most of these topics whill be 1,000 word stories with one or two encompassing stories that are from 5,-10,000 words. It's similar to Ernest Heminway's "The Nick Adams" stories with the main character and those who surround said character. While I have done that, I also have in mind to just free type what's in my head. And draw. While this is a writing exercise, the finished novel, which I plan to publish, will be art intensive as well as literature-based.

What about you?

To tell you the truth, I've picked up an Avatar DVD from my library because I missed a chunk of Season 3's episodes and I'm hoping to find something in them I could re-use (neither fuse nor rip off, just recycle) into my own story. Avatar has always been full of inspiring gold when it comes to stories.
