Brought from another forum to us. Lets have fun and play around.

I've written a letter to one of my main characters. What would you say if you were to talk to your main character? How about any of your secondary characters?

Dear Louis,

You came to me one day when I was watching Queen of the Damned, and especially watching the vampire Lestat. While you do not quite resemble Stuart Townsend, you do have a little bit of his spirit in you. I owe a lot to Anne Rice, and her creation in Lestat. You, however, are your own person, so I must take responsibility in at least that.

You are an illegitimate child of the royal family. You will likely never find this information out. It's a pity, because you might have been a different person had you known. -It's not as though your father would have taken you in, to him you did not exist. You may as well have been another man's son. But don't fret, to me, you are very real. I do care deeply for you, and even though I have to do such terrible things to you, know it is out of love.

I own you.

Yours Truly,
The Boss

Dear Mr. Darcy,

Would you please tell me exactly what it was that made you realize Elizabeth was right about you and thus made you decide to change? I'd love to be able to outline those four or five chapters, but without this information (which is really key to the entire plot) I can't progress any farther.

Yours &tc,
Nancy

My Dearest Kate,

I need you to tell me what it is you're looking for. Is it a new set of parents? A best friend? Someone to love?

Honey, you have all of those. You have Lucy and Julian, the Aunt and Lawyer whose love affair you pretend not to know about. You have Sam, the old man who thinks of you as his daughter. You have Alex, the boy you've been friends with for the last six years and who loves you. (And I mean loves you, sweetie. I don't care how much you want to deny it.)

So what is it you're looking for? I can't get you there if you don't tell me.

All my love,

Melissa

Dearest Darcy,

Please forgive the impropriety of my greeting, sir. The kindness of your quick answer has overwhelmed me, I'm afraid. Barely twenty minutes ago I sat here wondering how I could express the change your character underwent after receiving Elizabeth's rejection. Now I believe I understand almost all of it.

Of course, I do beg the favor of asking for further clarification at a later date. Your temperament is complex enough that it may well take many explanations before I wholly understand you.

I remain,

Yours &tc,
Nancy

Dearest Charlotte,

I'm ever so sorry you have to die. But I must say it's been most fun plotting out your demise. I'll bet your puritan heart would never have thought up a death like that.

So how do you like hell? Is it awful? Or is it a bit nicer than you expected?

How bad did it feel being burned at the stake? Do you still feel guilty for being convicted of witchcraft? Do you miss your family?

You seem to have coped well, though I never would have seen you behaving so unabashedly. What happened to your modesty woman? Sauntering around naked in front of a vampire, even after you are dead, does not mean you are without sin. Just because you are one of the damned does not mean you have to be desperate.

Louis is handsome, and his french accent is beautiful, but you should have some self respect.

Your creator,
The Head Cheese

Dear Women's Society for the Pursuit of Excellence in Post University Academics:

I'm an ardent fan of your work but had a few questions for you.

How many members do you have?
What town are you based it?
What are your membership requirements?
What made you decide to pursue travel as study?
Where are you planning to go?
What happens to you while you travel?
How does your story end?
For that matter, how does it begin?
Why do you have such a horribly long and boring name for your club?

Thank you for your time. I can be reached at my home phone, via email, at facebook or at my two blogs. I look forward with great anticipation to the answers to these questions.

Regards,
Traci

Dear Rose,

What is your real name? Will you ever say? You are supposed to be a secondary character, a fortuneteller of great talent, but will you end up as more? Do you always tell the truth, or do you hide things the way you hide yourself? What part will you play in this adventure, this quest? Which way will you push poor Ranza while remaining unmoved? Or will he move you as none of the others have ever managed? Which way will it turn out, or are you going to give me that smile you learned from your teacher and make me wait? You are, aren't you?

love, Ficcy author #1 AKA Mo

Darling Darcy,

If you want me to stop using pet names for you, then tell me what you were thinking when you went to visit Elizabeth at the Inn in Lambton. I'm sure you weren't planning to propose again, not without making sure of her feelings first. Was it simply the act of a man so in love he couldn't stand to be away from her? Were you perhaps trying to ascertain her feelings, hoping she'd give something away? Did you just want to thank her for the way she was so wonderful with Georgiana? For crying out loud man, spill!!!

Ahem.

Yours &etc,
Nancy

Dear Sam,

Who are you? What job did you have? Why did you turn to drinking? Are you really interested in looking for your daughter? By the way, what is her name?

You seem to be a fascinating man, Sam. You have a friendship with a fifteen year old that others thing is creepy and insane, but the two of you are good for each other. I know this, you know this. What I don't know is why? Does she remind you of your late wife? Of your daughter? Are you willing to be the missing father in her life?

I have so many questions for you. I hope you'll be able to help me answer them soon.

Melissa

To my darling Ren,

Would you please shut the hell up? I can't start writing for another couple of days, and you are seriously beginning to drive me out of my mind. Go take a vacation, visit a hot spring, and relax... I promise I won't forget about you if you give me 3 hours of quiet time. Otsukaresama deshita... but please give me a break. :P

Love and kisses,
Me

Dear Drenian,
I hope this letter finds you well, and you might as well write back (for I know that I am one of the few who even takes the time to write to you). I do hope you haven't gone into hiding again, for you and I both realize that you can't stay hidden for long... due to your flashy nature and hopeless romanticism. You will be happy to know that I've recorded the names of at least five lovely ladies who are hopelessly in love with your description. Well... I'll see what I can do with you in the future, for there is much to write about your history (as well as those of the lords).
Fare thee well,
Kristiene.
