How is it all going guys? I have a chapter list set up. I am going to use that as my jumping off point. I hope that it will give me a general idea to head towards. Of course it may also provide a great way to deviate from my general plot line. I have also been talking through the story with my husband.

I plan on writing a lot either in the afternoon or evening. Hopefully both. I hope to do two hours at a time. My plan is for four hours a day, more if necessary. But definately two hours in the mid morning to afternoon and then the rest of the time after supper.

How is yours going? Do you know when or where you will tend to write?

For once, I actually have a pretty concrete idea of what I'm going to write on! I've got the plot more or less figured out, the setting (which is key to this particular book), and a couple of the characters.

What I don't have is the sticky interesting middle part, or how it's all going to end. But hey, it's nano -- I figure I'll wing it when I get there. :)

I still haven't decided which story I'm going to go with, so I'm preparing outlines for the... 3? 4? plots going on in my head, and doing some corresponding research for the settings. Nowhere near close to where I should be, though!

Hello,

I have two or three ideas to work from. One is actually a short story series. On this particular project, I have outlines for about 45 short stories of a 60 story series. The other two ideas are just that ideas. I have not done any advance planning on these ideas yet.

I am looking forward to attending any of the write-ins that may be held. My goal is to write at least 3500 words a day so that if I miss a day, I will not get behind. My goal is to write in the morning and afternoon before my nephew makes it home from school.

I am SO unprepared for this! I planned and planned last year, somewhat last minute, but I put a lot of time into it during the end of October. And it all deflated after the first week. So this time around, I'm going to try the "fly by the seat of my pants" method. Hopefully, I'm not setting myself up for another failure.

I have a general idea of how the novel will start, so maybe my characters can just sorta... lead the way. :-)

I've had this insane and involved story in the back of my mind since I was a junior in college based on a 12th century English court case. I think that's the project I'll be focusing on this year. I've had a tentative short outline done for years, but I've never really fleshed it out. I have some scenes planned out but never really put it all together in a cohesive narrative map. I'm gonna try to organize my thoughts between now and Nov. 1.

As for time management . . . . I'm going to try to write as much early on as possible since I have a trip to Universal Studios planned for the middle of the month XD

Here's to ALL of us winning Nano this year!!!!!

I've got the general plot line worked out and my ideas for most of the main characters. I'm still tossing up how to put it all together and which voice will narrate the story. I am really excited about writing it - it consumes those last moments before I fall asleep. However, I am not sure if I want to be my usual over-planning self and plan out every single detail, or just let it flow from my fingers.

As far as when I will write . . . I am a stay-at-home wife, so I will pretty much write whenever, although most of my work will probably be in the afternoons and evenings.

I don't know what I'm going to be working on yet. Normally I'm not able to figure it out until right before the month starts so I still have some time to choose. I never know when I'm going to have the time to write so I can't figure out that part either.

I have a general outline plotted out for both the main story and the back story. I am not sure how much of the back story I am going to have in the actual book, but it is all there if I need it. Most of my characters are named, and I have the last scene planned out on index cards. So I think I am doing good. I am excited to start. Now that things are planned, there really isn't much left for me to do, so I am stalking the forums trying to keep busy.

I am a SAHM with my boys in school, half of the day so that will be when I will write. I think.

I'm in the 'lack there of' catagory at this point. I know what I'll be writing...but I seriously don't have the story plotted out. I need to get on that VERY soon!

The when and where is pretty simple. I will write whenever and wherever I can. Mostly though, it'll be in my own apt in the late evenings.

I was going to plan everything out, and now I really don't have a story I want to work on yet. . .hopefully I'll come up with something in the next couple of weeks if life doesn't get in the way.

I'm falling more into the winging it category right now. I have my major characters, plot beginnings, and a setting. I'm pushing myself with a sci-fi setting this year.

I'll probably do a little more outlining in the next few weeks, stock up on the coffee and some wine coolers and I'll be good to go.

I've been working on Nanowriye and I hope to finish one of my stories from there before Nov 1, I've got my head stuck in it right now.

I had a dream and it was fairly interesting, so I want to write that idea up. It'll be so strange, even if I don't take everything in my dream literally. I'm not really planning it so much. Just doodling out ideas.

I had another one dream that I wanted to write about last year, but it involved a major amount of research. This one... not so much. Hopefully.

I've got to do some more reading though. I always start writing by reading my butt off. I've gotta stop reading the popular science though, and read some fantasy and classics and children's books to really get in the game.
