Hello out there!

Are you ready to join me on the most frantic month of our year? When we pry that annoying little backspace button from our keyboards, and type with reckless abandon until our hands clench up and scream for mercy?

Well, I certainly hope you don't go to the hand clenching extreme...but you get what I mean.

WELCOME!!!!

I'll be your ML for the next month or so as we plow through high points, low points, and points when we just want to scream...don't worry, in the end, you have us to talk to.

Introduce yourselves, please! Let's be friends!

~Never turn away from your goals!

Hey Sami! I'm Virginia, junior at EKU and def. a part of your KY::Elsewhere group.
I have a great feeling about this year's NANO. :) It's all coming together in my head. Now, please, just let it stay that way for a few more weeks. That would be wonderful.

I'm going to be bouncing between Kentucky Elsewhere and Kentucky Lexington.

I'm Jeremiah. I'm 26, happily married with a fun 2 year old little girl. I write security software for a living.

This is my first NaNoWriMo, and I've dragged my dad and wife into this with me too. I'm excited and still figuring out the exacts of my Horror/Thriller plot.

Good luck everyone!

Name is Josh Taylor, I'm twenty-one, and this is my first attempt. I'm pursuing a career in writing, and this I hope will encourage me to finish a novel. I'm married, and have a daughter that will be two-years-old on November 20th.

I tend to write fantasy/horror, and I've been kicking around the perfect idea for this November.

I'm looking forward to it!

-Josh

Hi everyone!
My name is Christy King and I'm from Clay City. This is my second attempt at Nano. I didn't complete my novel during Nano last year but I did finish it shortly afterward. I'm excited about the fantasy novel I'm planning out for this year's Nano.
Good Luck to all!

My name's Chelsy and I'm from Vine Grove, which is in the Elizabethtown area. I'm a senior in high school; I'll probably be at UK next year, even though I want to get out of here so bad. This is my third year of NaNo and I'm definitely excited. It's nice to meet all of you~!

Hey all! I'm Sammah, from Morehead, KY! I'm stoked about NaNo this year, I've done it since 2004 and I love it! I'm really excited for this year. November will be busy for me, but I finished last year in just six days, so I'm hoping to wrap up this year in a similar amount of time! I wish everyone luck, and hope it all goes well!

Hey, I'm Marz (Talon is my pen name) and I'm from the Shelbyville area. I'm 16 and I go to SCHS.

This November is going to be crazy for me because I'm in marching band and we have two finals that month. I'm still going to try. This is my second year doing NaNo. I didn't win last year because of issues outside of my control, but I have confidence I'll finish it this year.

Is Elsewhere Kentucky doing any word wars with anyone?

Hey, I'm Krystina. I live in Ohio County, and I can guarantee you that unless I can drag my friends in with me, no one else from there will attempt this. I'm in the marching band, but it ends November 1st, so I'll be a whole day behind on my writing. Dang, I just now thought of that...eurgh.

My name is Jason, I'm a 33-year old procrastinator...er, writer...in northern Kentucky (Fort Thomas to be more specific). I just discovered NaNoWriMo today while surfing the blogosphere, and joined on a whim. I've never published a novel, or a short story for that matter (outside of high school and college publications), but I have started a few. Maybe this time I'll actually finish...

By the way, what in the world am I going to write about? LOL!

Hey Jason,

I live in the Fort, but I am by no means a cake eater-- I'm originally from Texas, and I moved to the Fort from Covington so my little one wouldn't get killed in the public schools. This is my 3rd Nano. Maybe we can commandeer the Starbucks sometime next month. Good luck.

Hey I'm Leanne. I'm from Radcliff which is around the Elizabethtown area. This is my first NaNo, but I am super excited to be doing it. Everyone else here seems to know where they are or where they are going in life, but I have no clue. But that's the fun part of living, I think. =]]

Good luck everyone!

My name is Evelyn and I live in Morehead, Kentucky. I attend MSU, I'm a freshman, and I am an English major, although I really wanted to be a Creative Writing major (which they do not offer). This is my first year of NaNo, but I have written a novel before, well, actually a novella, it was very short. I wanted to see if I could write 50,000 words for a single story, I usually run out of ideas at around 20,000 words...

Hi Sammy,
We're back again, huh? I'm getting a late start and have what may prove to be the busiest month of all time for me, but I'm just as determined as ever to send a complete first draft to Staples for printing on December 1st. The beautiful fall colors this year are wonderful inspiration - Elsewhere, KY is the place to be - Ed

BTW, this year I'm doing a murder mystery set in Colorado. Never tried this genre before, it's gonna be fun. Last year's NaNo book, "Less Of Me" is available and selling pretty good. fun, fun.

Well, my name is Jessica. I'm twenty-five years old. I currently reside in Christian County. I tend to get nervous and tongue tied, well, I supposed it's more type tied, doing things like things because frankly I'm never sure what of myself to expose in a quick paragraph.

I have one amazing one year old son who is too smart for my own good. But, he loves books and I love writing so we find common ground in our relationship. His current favorite author is Dr. Suess.

I was waring with myself over whether or not to join this at all. I love to write, yet I am constantly visited by the low self esteem fairy. He's an annoying little pest. I currently have no idea what to write about, but I felt the fear and did this anyway.

I suppose, in closing, I really don't mind getting to know people nor do I mind answering questions about anything. So, drop me a complain, compliment, concern, grumble, or growl. All messages will be answered in the order in which they were recieved. (smiles)
