While there are a couple of Christian Clubs, I couldn't find any for pagans and spiritualists! So, here it is! A hangout for all the Pagan writers of NaNoWriMo.

My name's Kirsti and I've been Wiccan since 2001, and self initiated myself when I was just ten years old. Unlike a lot of parents, my mum fully supported it. Despite being raised as a Christian, my mum is Pagan herself and a holistic herbalist. So it was pretty easy for me.

This is a thread for everyone to introduce themselves, share their stories and chat - about anything! Be it about religion, their stories, or anything else. =]

Hello :)

I'm Jackal/Shelby (whichever you want to use), and I'm Kemetic. Orthodox, to be specific.

You're probably not going to like me.

I've been Pagan since 2004 and have followed many paths since then. Right now my current path is polytheistic Goddess Witchcraft.

I'm what I call a Lazy Pagan. I've been pagan for a while, don't have a specific path, kind of Wiccan, kind of a fluffybunny pagan cause it irritates me when people pick on fluffybunnies. Live and let live, that's my motto.

I'm planning on writing about a captured vampire, but yesterday I started doubting myself. "Maybe I should do X instead..."

I believe Kemetic Reconstructionism has to do with recreating ancient Egyptian religion with as much historical accuracy as possible. But since I'm not a Kemetic Reconstructionist... I could be wrong. :D

I'm mainly just... pagan/polytheist but if I have to pick a label for the sake of simplicity, I use "hedge witch." I've defined myself as a polytheist for about three or four years, but for some reason never thought of myself as pagan until the last year or so. Then I got interested in hedgewitchcraft in the last several months. Last year's NaNo was low fantasy with a lot of pagan themes, and this year's is a romance with one pagan MC. I wanted to do a sequel or prequel to last year's, but this other idea won't leave my brain alone, so I think I need to hurry up and put this story down on paper, and then go back to my fantasy world next year. :)

MM all. I'm glad someone started a pagan thread. I was looking all over for one and couldn't find it. I'm Jenny from PA. I've been following a pagan Celtic path for about 12 years now. I'm looking forward to NaNoing with you all, though once the writing starts, I'll either be in here constantly procrastinating, or I'll hole myself up like the hermit and not emerge until I'm done. Last year I procrastinated more than wrote, the year before that I played the hermit. I'm hoping this year to find a happy medium and still manage to finish my novel.

I'm a lot of things. But I suppose Lokean describes me best. I've been on whatever path I'm on for a few years. Three, I think? And for three years before that, I was just confused and making up my own religions for the most part.

I was going to say 'I'm pagan, no idea what type', followed by lots of confusing babble, and then I saw the word 'Lokean'.
At which point I thought 'As in Loki?'.
A quick google later, I can say: I may be Lokean.

Go figure. XD

My name is Moondancer Drake and I am a Cherokee woman as well as a Dianic witch. This is one of the reasons most of what I write, including my published works, are all multucultural paranormal fiction. My mother is an ordanied Dianic priestess and I am working my way toward ordination myself.

Awesome. Way better than my story of when I "decided" I was Lokean.

Merry Meet, everyone!

I'm Heather and I've been called to paganism since January 2004, after living a very Christian life. I follow mostly a shamanic path, with a Native American foundation. I'm half Iroquois, and have always been drawn to the culture of that part of my life. I'm also half Norwegian, and I celebrate Sabbats and recently have considered doing something for esbats as well . . .

Anybody here read tarot? I'm having my MC this year be a fortune teller. :-) What's everyone doing for Samhain?

I'm Celtic/eclectic Wiccan and have been for over 25 years. I'm solitary, though, and don't have a group that I'm associated with. I read Tarot for myself, but it's been a long time since I read it for anyone else.

MM everyone!
I've been a pagan for around 24 years. Solitary/ecclectic.
What a coinkydink...I have a character who's a fortune teller too! My character also has 3 other sisters.
For Samhain, my 11 year old and I are going to watch Ghost Hunters Live, eat candy and sugar ourselves up for Midnight! He's unoffically doing NaNo this year...though he set his goal much lower than the 50k. LOL I'm hoping this will improve his writing skills.

I'm also a Kemetic Wicca. I'm 22 and disabled. I have a beautiful little girl who finds my craft fascinating and a supportive husband who isn't a follower but a watcher. My mother however thinks I'm going to sacrifice her cat.

I'm Eclectic Wiccan, myself. I've been identifying myself as pagan since about 2004, and I considered a couple different paths, but none felt right for me. Then I learned about the 'eclectic' title, and I've been happily following my own crazy path ever since.

My novel this year is an AU steampunk fantasy, so no paganism for me! I actually rarely write paganism - or religion of any kind, really - into my stories. It just feels too personal for me. I'm pretty sure one of my characters this year is Agnostic, but that's about it. The rest are probably Christian, just because of the time period they're in, but I don't discuss it at all.

Hey! I'm Chris, and Wicca. I kinda drifted into it and have been Wiccan for a while, initiated a couple of years ago and have found myself on what appears to be a loooooong path of learning.

It's going to be fun.

If I had to pin myself to any one path, it would probably be to Celtic, but my path is my own so I can't really say it's one thing or the other. I try to learn from anything and everything I pick up, and I don't think it's my right to say whether or not this path or that one is right - everyone has their own.

So yeah. MM all, and good luck with your NaNos!

Hi everyone. Kirsti-thanks for starting the thread.

I'm my own offbeat path. I'm Dianna, I've been Pagan pretty much my entire life. I'm 15. I've never been initiated or anything like that. But I do enjoy hanging out with Pagans and talking to them-most of them are pretty cool people. And most Nanowrimo people are pretty cool; which means you guys must be pure awesome.

Hi guys! I'm Welestra (I also go by Andunien - I connect more to my handles than my real name LOL) and I'm a Gnostic Druid. I was raised Christian, and though my mom was a little apprehensive at first she's since come around to my choice of beliefs. My dad just doesn't know what to think of it, hehe.

This is the first year I've started to actively celebrate the Sabbats, with some of the most wonderful and crazy pagans I've had the pleasure of meeting. Nemoralia was the best so far LOL

Grant is cute, but I <3 Tango... Much to the dismay of my hubby, who rolls his eyes while I watch...

Oh, errr... introduction, right....

Hi I'm Lish, or Pixie, whatever. Cant be bothered with finding a specific Name for my Path, so I will just say Eclectic...

Any hoos....I need to go hunt down a Plot Bunny...

I think I'm just going to spend Samhain waiting for midnight. I'll probably do something small, but nothing extravagant. I'll celebrate Nanowrimo though...

Beltaine here. I'm spending the night before in meditation for Walpurgsnicht (I can never spell that word) and I'll light a candle for Hel. I'll have a small ritual on Beltaine and ask for some NaNo blessings ;-)

My spirituality is writing. :)

Merry meet all! This is my second year doing the NaNo and gosh... I think I've followed my path pretty much all my life. Given, it has had it's twists and turns and changes but I'm still Pagan at the core of my being. It goes very nicely with my Taoist beliefs. :) You know, I'm sad to say it but I never would have thought to look for a Pagan group during the NaNoWriMo. Lol, usually that's the first thing I look for anywhere but I suppose this time of year has me completely caught up in the writing half of my soul.
