Just moved to the area from Boston where there was a decent turnout at write-ins. This year I'd settle for even one write-in nearby, but it looks like I'll have to drive an hour or more to get to the closest ones (Binghamton, Syracuse, or Mohawk County write-ins). Anybody out there? :)

I'm outside Binghamton in Whitney Point which is exactly an hour from Oneonta. Depending on your schedule, perhaps we could meet halfway in Bainbridge sometime.

Greetings Chester:
Fear not, you are not alone. There are two others as well if they come back this year, Syllables & Jazz Baby Faye. Maybe we can figure out a time to meet at Friendly's, Denny's or Dunkin' Donuts.
Welcome to the area! There is infinite inspiration in the surrounding hills.
Good Luck,
Joey

Cobleskill area checking in. (Summit, to be exact.) I'd be up for a drive to Oneonta every now and again, provided that it wasn't M/W/F (class days). Let me know!

Aha! And here I am in Oneonta feeling isolated... Brand new to this - count me in.

I've tentatively suggested something for Saturday afternoon in Cobleskill, at Fairuz (across from the movie theater and gas station in the center of downtown.) If any of you Oneonta-ers can make it to Cobleskill and are interested, feel free to chip in on that thread as well.

Currently, in the Oneonta/Norwich area. Can meet up evenings in either Oneonta or Norwich.
My understanding is that SUCO (the State University in Oneonta) has an underutilized library where meet-ups could be held. I'd have to find out more from a friend who uses it, if anyone's interested.

My boyfriend is a student at SUCO and actually works in the library, so he could even BOOK us a room in there... oooo sneaky...
Im game for anything from cooperstown to sidney to oneonta to cobleskill... are we discussing for the 15th or some other time?

As faculty at SUNY Cobleskill, I could get us a room there easily enough as well, if people were interested. (I was thinking a cafe would be a little less formal/academic, hence the suggestion there--but nobody came, alas.)

Alright otesgo county (and immediately surrounding area) folk!
Looks like we're on for Sunday the 16th in Oneonta. The SUCO library will probably be a good place to meet, but I'm assuming our group will be small so we can always move it as we get closer to go time...
If we do in fact meet in the library, on Sundays they are open 12 noon - 1 am.
Feel free to post here or email me at kliagiba at gmail dot come.
Happy day! :)

Hey Oneonta Area Crew,
I'm in for the meeting at SUCO library on Sunday. Any other takers? :) It'll be lots of fun! I might even be able to bring some of the awesome NaNoWriMo Merit Badges to give out as awards! Seriously, it can't get much better than that, huh? :)
