In the XHTML post you said that "Cybele has asked that signature banners be no larger than 500 x 100"
What about a forum header?
I've seen them (I think Naperville) and I'd like to put one up in my region but I can't find any info on max sizes (I also can't find the forum/thread I saw the banner on. Grrrr!).

Please, please do not add anything to the regional forums except for the link to your google calendar.
We're going to implement the new regional headers soon and all of that will be wiped & access to that edit tab will be gone.
Those huge headers may look fun but push the actual forums down "below the fold".
