Okay, this is for people who have made covers for their books and uploaded them to their NaNo profiles. For those who didnt know you could, it seems to be a new function added in time for the 10 year anniversary. I showed my cover off at Robert's workshop on writing dialogue *which was alot of fun, for anyone who didnt get a chance to go, you missed out on a good, informative discussion*
If anyone has uploaded a cover, or might be looking for someone who is good at drawing or graphic design *I wish I could be more help, I drew my cover, but it was fairly simple, and I am not a artist who deals in finite detail* then maybe we can find people in the reigon who are good drawers and might be willing to help with covers.
Mine can be found under my profile under "Novel Info" if anyone is interested in seeng it. it is fairly basic, and I know what it all means *and no savvy, it isn't a stargate :0)* and I actually did one for the first book in my series which is currently on my book "the transit" at authonomy.com

I didn't draw my cover, I basically edited a picture in photoshop, a little less opacity here, some snazzy font there and voila! There's my book cover. I have a little drawing pad that transfers your drawing onto the computer and I thought about using that but the picture called to me and it's a lot easier haha!
I'm not a great photographer or editor but I'm proud of this book cover :)

Doth my eyes decive me, or is hannah writing a lesbian supernatural romance? Just remeber the lessons of breaking dawn... no belly biting :0)
I almost wrote a supernatural story with hints of gay romance between two vampires... but in the end, I knew writing secks makes me too giggly.

I admit it! I am writing a lesbian supernatural romance! I thought I'd shake it up a bit....go in a different direction.
Aw, secks scenes....they make me giggle too. Maybe I'll just do what I did last year and put "INSERT SMUT SCENE HERE!" and move on :)

I think that is the problem with me writing romance... There is a fine line between something of consequence, and something that borders on the hilariously bad or overdone. Romance writers must have the finess I could never dream of having with such plot elements.

I'm a good artist and I'm fantastic at Photoshop and photomanipulating. If you give me an idea of a book cover or customized calendar and the characters or background you want on it, I should be able to do one fairly quickly! (Yay for procrastinating on my outline and schoolwork!) Here's an example of a calendar I did yesterday for a friend: click me!

I actually like the design of my cover. if I knew enough about how to do things to it, I would make it look like a leatherbound, foilstamped book.

Really?!?!?! I'm okay at photoshop....I took a digital art class in high school and that's how I gained my limited knowledge of it. Another plus? My dad's techy team at work adores me so they gave me the photoshop progam and adobe illustrator. It's really nice...if only I knew how to use it :).
Well, I like my cover that I did with that photo....but it could use a little inspiration....I like the holding hands view...my friend and I were actually testing out my lesbian theory at the beach when we took the picture. Actually, only a few people gave us dirty looks and one old man walked away from us, otherwise people were really cool about the "lesbians" taking a romantic walk on the beach.
That's great that you're willing to step up to the plate and volunteer to do this for us :) Thank you!

Bravo on the cover... I can edit video, but I haven't played around with Photoshop yet. I actually bought a version of it, but never installed it. How dumb is that?

I have no plot idea and no title, so I have no cover... but I am an established Photoshop and traditional artist, schooled in VC at CCC back in the late 90s. You can look at my work here for a while yet. I'm trying to get my website transferred up to my own domain before NaNo hits, but I don't think I'm going to make it. It is hard to transfer files across if you're not sure you liked your original layout and design idea in the first place.
If you like my style and would like me to do artwork (cover art or internal work) for you, let me know.
For those of you Salemanders who have already PURCHASED Photoshop and don't know how to use it, I am also a local computer tutor in Photoshop and Freehand (I'm still learning Illustrator and InDesign myself) and I can get you up and using the program cheaper than the class at CCC. Savvy?

changed writing genre: check
changed novel name: check.
changed novel synopsis: check.
added new cover art: check.
and yes, Cory, another dark cover. but i feel right with it. with a main character whose life is mostly lies, the darkness is fitting.

I'm planning on drawing a cover when I can... I decided to try to get something different from vampires for once... and it's kind of a magic/teenage sort of thing. I'mma draw a girl holding a notebook, and reflected in her eyes in the gothic-loner girl who plays a significant part.
