I'm an Emersonian, first semester. My participation in NaNo this year will be limited to a smaller goal, but plan to attend a few write-ins. Schedule permitting.

Woo! Emersonian! I'm in my first semester at Emerson, but I transfered, so I'm actually a sophomore. I was hoping we'd be able to get a group of emersonians for some smaller write-ins.

I'm also a graduate student. Which program are you in? I'm an MFA candidate in creative nonfiction.

And another Emerson grad student here. I'm in the Publishing/Writing program.

*waves* I'm an Emerson alumnus (graduated a semester early in December
06), so I don't really count, but hi anyway. I first discovered NaNoWriNo the semester I was at the Castle. Needless to say I did not win that year.

Emerson is where I want to go!

I want to major in Marketing Communications.
Is it a nice school? I'm going to be touring sometime in the spring.

Got my MFA in writing from Emerson in 95, just finished my first novel and
am finally digging in this month to what I knew was going to be my next project—an
idea I got while studying screen play in LA (Emerson LA campus) in 94.

Doesn't surprise me there are Emersonians kickin' it up on NaNo! I'll be a junior next semester (but I'm also a transfer, so this is my first semester here), and I'm a VMA Major in Animation, so I'm slightly insane to be taking this on. (As any Emersonian is, I'm sure, with our mile-high workloads.)

Good luck everyone! Hope to see you at a few write-ins.

-Paula

Emerson is a great school. I transfered here this year too and I'm VMA - Writing for Film and Television.

Does anyone want to get together for a writ- in at or around the school?

Anyone up for Wednesday around six pm? We could take over a study room in the library, go to Emerson's and invade a few tables, or go to one of the various eateries nearby.

wednesdays work for me, in general, sadly not this week since i need to pack for New York. But next week? we could take over a study room in the library at 6. I'll reserve it today since I'm going in there anyway.

Sounds good. I'll be there next week-- 6 is about when my class ends. That's where I am right now-- library after class. Procrastinating on this very site. *cough*

And for anyone else library bound tomorrow (Thursday, November 13th) I'll be hanging out writing from somewhere around 2:15-3:55 (between getting off of work and going to class, which means I'll be wearing all black for work and will probably bring my laptop, which is silver).

I have class from 4-7:45, if you're planning to hang around that long I'd be up for a write-in after I get out. Otherwise I'll probably head to one of my usual off campus haunts.

Sure, I can meet up around 8
(live in beacon hill so I'm close by)
any suggestions for where?

Usually I go one of three places: Emerson Library, Emerson Cafe (not sure how late they're open), or the Barnes and Noble in the Prudential Center (they're open till eleven, have coffee, and I live five minutes away).

Other than that, I'm not sure what's open after eight.
