Hey guys! I'm trying to get a rough number of those who will be attending Innerloop write-ins! I'm already scouting locations, but if you have ideas for more, post them here. Also, tell me your area... most of the locations I'm looking at are in the Midtown/Neartown/Heights area, but I could organize some in other areas if I have an abundance of you in one place!
Thanks so much!

I hope I will! I'm in the Bellaire/West U area, but I can get out to Montrose or the Heights or wherever with sufficient planning. :D
If there's anyone in the Bellaire/Meyerland area, the Cafe Express in Meyerland has outlets and excellent tea, though I don't know about WiFi (no laptop; I'm a pen-and-paper girl m'self). If I think of any other locations, I'll post them.

I'll definitely be trying to come out to as many as possible. I work until 6:30pm most days and so wouldn't be able to come out until later in the evening. I'm located in Bellaire but am constantly hanging out at Agora, Cecil's, and West Gray Cafe.
So yea, if the write-ins are later in the evening, I'll be there!

To All: I live just off Washington Ave. between TC Jester and Shepard/Durham. Let me know when and where the first meeting will be. I would love to meet the Innerlooper Group. Are you planning a pre-November meeting? Nelson

Because the Kick-Off at the Havens Community Center on the 25th and the First Midnight Write-In on Halloween night at Katz's are both right in our area, I was planning to let those serve as our pre-November meeting and first group write-in. Unless I get interest from at least four other people for a separate pre-November Innerloop Kick-off Meeting, then I'll say the plan stands!

I live down southeast, but I work at Rice, so evening write-ins are easiest for me to attend in the midtown-montrose-west u area.
It's a bit of a hike for parking at times, but I thought I would just say that Rice has a nice new coffeehouse on the quad behind the library, and the library itself is open to the public until midnight, and they have a campus wifi net. It's a beautiful place to hang out, lots of room for groups, plenty of outlets or trees and lawn for those with battery power or pen-and-paper.
(And they do run a shuttle on campus.)
Just thought I'd throw that out there, in case anybody might want to take advantage.
looking forward to meeting folks.

Hi, Everybody--
I also work at Rice, and Keri's right, the Brochstein Pavilion (the coffee house she mentioned) is very nice. I'm open for any place in the Inner Loop area, though. I live close to the I-45/1960 area, so I might attend some weekend write-ins up North, but after work meetings in Montrose/West U/Midtown, etc work great for me.

Michael:
There do not seem to be many Innerloopers participating or they have not signed up. I would be interested in meeting one night a week in West U area during Nov. for a "write-in" or brainstorming session. This is my first NaNoWriMo event so I am not exactly sure what happens when.
Will you be at the Saturday meeting? If so, let's touch base and see what works for us and any others that want to join.

Hey everybody!
I will be at the Kick-Off this Saturday, and am looking for a head count so I know to tell cafes and libraries there will be 5, 10, or 15, or more at each write-in. We can chat there and see when and where is best for us!
If you will not make the Kick-Off but seem from your above comments to be planning to attend nightly write-ins, don't worry, I will include you in the head count.
I look forward to meeting you all! Later!

I was noticing the lack of innerloopers. =( Like I posted in the "Event Kick Off" thread, I wasn't able to make it on Saturday due to not only work, but the fact that we just found out that we're going to have our first baby! =D So I'm going to try to make it out to as many write ins as possible. Evenings work the best for me due to my work schedule and I can usually make it to anywhere.
Hope you guys had a good time at the kick off and I'm looking forward to meeting some of ya'll later!

Hello Sarah:
Are you planning any write-ins prior to the Friday kick off at Katz? If anyone would like to meet one evening this week, I am up for it.....either just do some character development or some Got Plot talking and scheming.

Nelson,
I'm doing my darnedest to catch up on homework this last week of November, so I don't know if I can personally commit to attend a Got Plot Brainstorm Session, but let's tentatively say that anyone who wants to meet this Tuesday night at Catalina Coffee House on Washington is more than welcome. I'm about to post a schedule for Innerloopers, if the site will let me. It's been kind of wonky yesterday and today. If it won't, I'll come back and post it at the bottom of this one.

Don't know if I can make it, but I'd love to go to one of these. I've never been.

I live in the Galleria area and would love to hear about any write-ins happening during November. All the places I usually go are already on the list, except RiverOaks coffee house but it's small. I am also not sure of the hours.

I work near the Galleria area and live near Reliant, so I'm open to anyplace inbetween. I did catch up with the mgr of Coffee Groundz and they welcome all NaNoWriMos with open arms. They have great coffee and free WiFi as well.
Coffee Groundz is off I-45 near downtown. Check it out and let me know your thoughts. I'd love to arrange a write-in there!

OK, so Coffee Groundz - great location, non-corporate, open early and late, and loves wrimos. Perfect. We will discuss day and time for a weekly meeting at this place when we have our write-ins Tuesday and Thursday. I would just schedule something but want to make sure that it fits into people's personal schedules!
So if you want a say in when's good for you to meet at Coffee Groundz, either post on the scheduling thread or show up to the write-ins this week!
